Love the super thin crust pizza joints around Milwaukee but they can get a little old. This place has fantastic NY style pizza - giant floppy slices. And I do mean giant! Calzones are huge as well. Best part is the lack of grease which usually accompanies NY pizza. Atmosphere was laid back. Clean & roomy place with some personality. Reminds me of a great joint in Atlanta called Fellini's. It's a keeper in my book. read more

Take out first time. Had a build your own calzone. It looks pretty big but I'm sure you could devour it. The dough is soft and fluffy just wished could have had more filling other than that its tasty. read more

1st of all they have regular pizza options, custom pizza options, and vegan pizza options. But what's really important is that they're just freaking good! Be aware though the pizza slices are humongous I mean like super huge! I went with a coworker who had his pizza slice cut into squares and I didn't understand why so I just got my pizza slice the normal way whole piece. He told me ever to get that because would be hard for me to eat once I got it, I thought on nothings hard for me to eat I can handle anything. Then I got my slice of pizza and saw the abnormal size of it, I thought to myself he's right I should have got a cut in squares. Trust me I thought I didn't want it in squares because that's how I used to serve my kids food but you're gonna want squares when you get that slice. You have to try their meatballs also, they are simply delicious their, soft, tender and melt in your mouth. I don't think there is a single thing that I've ever tried there that I didn't like, everything is always delicious. I also have to say I ordered delivery once and it's one of the only places that delivered my food perfectly warm. read more

I've always loved Classic Slice. Huge fan since day one. Before the days of Ian's, this was the go to stop for some big ole slices of pizza pie. We stopped in to grab some slices to go. It was pretty busy and the guy at the counter told us the wait was 30 to 40 minutes. A little long but we decided to stick it out. We ordered 4 slices in total: two cheese sausage and mushroom, one chunky chicken and one vegan mke. I also decided to order the modern love salad. The wait was long but the slices and salad were worth it. Especially that salad. I think about that salad often and fondly. It was a good flavor combination with kale, chickpeas, quinoa with a complimentary drsssing.The vegan mke was pretty good as well. Good place for pizza that has options for every diet. I love pizza and this place despot disappoint. I was staying at a friends house which is when walking distance if this place (hella cool bonus!) and it was so delicious. We tried a few specialty slices and shared. The slices are VERY BIG so be aware if that. One slice is more than enough for one person for a whole meal. The flavors are fantastic, the ingredients are fresh, and the crust is that perfect blend of crunchy and chewy. read more

Always good to have a variety of BIG vegan slices! The tofu is a little bland on the vegan curry slice but the pesto and the Mediterranean slices stood out. Breadsticks were probably unnecessary since we got three slices. read more

Would love to eat in...but CoVid. Great slice. Crust is on the thin side (which I like). A bit crisp in the bottom but not a cracker style. You can fold it. San Maritzano tomato sauce. Try the favor of the day you won't go wrong. Doesn't matter the topping. Day I was there it was eggplant roasted garlic and bacon. Yum. These are large slices. Have tried the calzone (filled with ricotta and your choice of items and a side of sauce for dipping) but prefer the slice. I've also ordered raw dough and sauce to make my own 'slice' at home and it worked perfectly. A medium will feed 2-3 people. Try it. You won't be unhappy. By far the tastiest and most unique slice of pizza I've ever had--I tried the Top Gun slice (goat cheese mashed potatoes and bacon) and loved every bite. The cheese breadsticks were also VERY yummy and I would absolutely get them next time. Service was quick and staff was friendly. read more

Hate that I couldn't give at least 4 stars. Smells great as soon as you walk in the door. Placed our order and chilled...and chilled...and chilled some more. Nearly an hour passed (got suspicious when others who arrived after us received theirs), and still chillin'. A friend asked a stressed out dude who responded "They'll be up soon!" We're 3 of 5 peeps in the place. I finally go up to counter and ask about order. Very cool girl apologizes and offers a comp drink (NICE!). Slices come out shortly thereafter. Delish! All the right stuff...at room temp. Maybe that's how pizza is done in Milwaukee, so I'm no complaining (too much), but come on! Tell me I'm wrong if you like hot pizza....seriously, tell me, and I'll bump this ISH up to at least a 5 star review (yes, ingredients and crust texture is HELLA bomb!). Thank you, Classic Slice. I'm totally hitting you up again--just show me some warm/hot cheesy slice LOVE, but this felt like leftover pizza. read more

Our family just tried Classic Slice for the first time and were totally impressed. The pizza was fantastic, definitely in the conversation fir Best Pizza in Milwaukee. We also tried their garlic knots, which were amazing, highly recommend. The staff was really friendly. Great place to take kids, they have old school arcade games and board games. Plus, great music playing. Definite thumbs up for Classic Slice. read more

Thank god for pizza, and, well, thank god for Classic Slice. Had their pizza three times: once on a date, once for takeout, and oh wait the other one was take out for a date too. Ha. Here's all the information you wanted. /sarcasm. Okay. Now here is actually all the information. I had the I'm Feta Up, and fell in love. (With the pizza. The guy turned out to be a jerk. But at this point, maybe it's me! XD) It had spinach, artichokes, feta... maybe something else. But when we opened it up, he commented it looked like they put salad on a pizza and he was not wrong. But it was the only salad I want on my pizza. Here's the only less than bright spot. It's now been removed from their online menu, but they used to have a mac and cheese pizza. Maybe a month ago, I called them and asked for it. Unfortunately, depressingly, dismally, I was told they no longer make it. After crying on the phone, the poor soul on the other end suggested a baked potato pizza--with mashed potato, chives and bacon. I sniffled, but begrudgingly accepted. Every time I've got pizza, there have been leftovers. The 12" obviously had less than the 16. But honestly, unless you're getting a single slice, I'd bet you'll have leftovers. Oh wait. Some of you lovely people out there are probably not single. Okay, so maybe if you're rocking the family life there won't be. But if you're a couple, or alone, you'll have leftovers of deliciousness to comfort you. The desserts at the counter change a little. Not sure how much. But one time I was there and there was pretty cannoli with colorful sprinkles. The next time I was there, I wanted it. But it wasn't there. Tough life, eh? Sorry for the rambling review. Get the pizza. You'll like it. read more

We've been living in Bay View for three years now, and everyone raves about Classic Slice. We just don't get why. Every time we've been there (at slow times, too) it takes them more than an hour to make a pizza. Their prices are pretty high -- $2.00 for onions? Their soy cheese is like a crumbly tofu that just belongs in the dark days of early vegan cooking. It doesn't melt. It has no flavor. It has a weird texture. We really want to like this place, but every time it's disappointing. read more

Sure the giant slices are Instagram worthy but the taste is just of your average pizza slice. Plus the wait time, was long. It was a Tuesday night, after dinner rush, and my table waited at least 20 minutes for slices. The price fits the size of the slice but felt pricey as I was paying. I couldn't believe I was spending that much on just slices. The only thing I can say about the taste is that it tasted like pizza. Nothing memorable good or bad about the taste. read more

What can I say? One of my favorite pizza places in Milwaukee, and I'm a guy who loves pizza! Huge slices, lots of crazy variety, specialty slices, and plan slices if you're boring. Vegetarian and vegan options as well. They've got Dang! Root Beer on tap, and delicious cookies. Plenty of parking in the lot across the street and street parking as well. They also make great full pies for carryout, though they slice those into squares. ;) read more

Best large slice pizza I've had. So good. Girl behind counter not very friendly at all. I felt like my spouse and I were inconveniencing her when I asked for Parmesan or hot pepper flakes. Pizza was so good. I'll overlook the bad service and chalk it up to Covid. I've been craving it since our last visit. Can't wait to go back. read more

My chips were spicy, but 100% soggy and nasty. My black beans were - meh. Not a good dish overall. My mom actually didn't find fault with her Honeypie Benedict. I tried the hollandaise and it was fine. My cousin did not enjoy her Hopple Popple skillet at all. (Potatoes, bacon, caramelized onion, mushroom, bell pepper, cheddar, two scrambled farm eggs) She found it difficult to find any egg, as it was apparently shrunk into tiny bits. The potatoes were like fries and it was overall bland. Not a winner. We certainly won't be back. The dishes don't live up to the interesting descriptions of them and the hype seems to be from an earlier, better time for this restaurant.
