Well, I'm not surprised that Classic recreations has no reviews. I'm sure there's others out there who have faced the same issues as I with this company but probably didn't think about sharing there experience through yelp. I'm going to try to keep this brief. I had researched many buIlders of mustangs across the USA. I decided to reach out to classic recreations based on the cars I had seen online. The end result of there builds are normally beautiful. So I reached out for the company and talked to the owner and he told me if I made an order now he had one of the 2 cars I wanted in the final stages of building a convertable because someone just cancelled an order. So I bit. Then I order the fast back as well. The convertable was to be delivered in a year or less and the fastback shortly there after. The black car was finished. A bit late but finished. I loved it. Paint was a little suspect and the seat belts don't work but great car. So i started the wait for my grey car. 6 moths, 7 months, 8 months. I kept getting the run around. they sent me pictures of the grey body and asked fir the second payment. i paid. Proceeded to tell me it's in assembly over and over. Then they suggested that they have a limited addition red body. i thought odd. why are they pushing a red body on me. so i switched based in being told it would be fine early. i think they don't my grey car to someone else. long story short i get my car in another 2 years. i argued with the owners over and over. they offered nothing to make good. they lied to me continuously. the car is beautiful. issues yes. But it's beautiful. a/c control panel defective. i can't get them to send me a replacement. they keep in lying to me about sending it. half the gauges don't work. they have given me no response on this issue. there are better places to get these cars built i can assure you. especially if you want to deal with a company that isn't filled with liars and no integrity. don't know that review changes anything. but at lease the truth is now told. fyi: if you mahdi a deal with them. get the vin number. demand photos before payment and inspect inspect inspect. read more

I had Classic Recreations of Yukon OK (I think they are also in Garland TX) build me a 1973 Firebird Formula 455. They build mostly Ford Mustangs but also other classic cars. The entire experience was an absolute disaster. The car was delivered a year late and I had to call them and complain constantly about the delays. When I first ordered the car it was on a cost plus basis but every time I called them, it seemed like the price went up. I finally agreed on a set price that they agreed to or I was going to cancel. When the car arrived , after over 2 years, it basically didn't even run. And this, from a custom car shop? It backfired and would barely even start or keep running. I had to drive it to another car shop where I live. It is still there a year later while they are trying to get it running correctly. The car was nice cosmetically, no complaints there, but there were so many problems mechanically I still can't believe they delivered a car like that to me. But they did. I sent them a letter letting them know about all the problems and to this day have not even received a follow up reply. Unbelievably bad customer service. They delivered me a car that basically did not even run.....and they even delivered it to me with an empty gas tank (a couple of gallons with the gauge on "E") ! This company is the worst most lying and terrible customer service from the owners I've worked with the quality of work and no where near close to the standards the use all bondo material for the whole car and this is a metal car they are thieves and do not know how to properly run a buisness do not waste time here save your self the hassle and work with different available legit company read more
