My only note would be that our room was right above the bar area so we could hear the music in the evening until about 12/1 in the morning from our room. If this is something that would be bothersome you may want to request a room further from the bar when you make your reservation.

The Venetian chandeliers are very beautiful making this a nice, small boutique hotel from which to base your business or tourist trip.

Wifi is terrible and barely worked in the room. The 'gym' was a room with a few cardio machines. The main public rooms of the hotel are so old and really deserve to be touched up. The best part of this hotel is the view from the restaurant and bar, which you do not need to be a guest to enjoy. This is more like a 3 star hotel than a 5 star hotel. The grounds are impeccable and tropical with colors and flowers and palms everywhere. The location is utterly stunning. Up on a cliff a bit over the water, the views reach both ways down the coast. The breakfast room (which also serves as one of the main restaurants) has giant windows that make you feel like you are in a painting. Just a two minute walk and you are on the main boardwalk with all the cafes and restaurants and shops Camogli has to offer. The grocery store, several other cafes, and several produce stores are a short walk up the hill. The private beach sealed the deal for me. Plenty of loungers were always available either on the beach or the little sun decks & jetties and the attendants were happy to set up for either sun or shade. The shore is not sand but small rocks - I had no trouble navigating but many others kept on sandals. There is also a diving platform down the small paved jetty that allowed easy entry into the water if you didn't want to walk in on the rocks. The floating barrier detracted a bit from the scenery but kept the water free of debris. It was also sometimes a little difficult to tell if lounges were available or being saved. The pool was large and clean and had great views from the cliff. Our lunch at the bar was alright, the trofie and shrimp were good but very oily. Breakfast was outstanding - ridiculous selection of pastries, fruits, hot dishes, meats, cheeses, etc. We had dinner once on the property and were treated to an almost private experience in the dining room and a delicious dinner of whole roasted sea bass. We walked to a local pasta shop for lunch and brought it back for a quiet lunch in the hotel garden. Our room was cool and comfortable with a fridge and luxury sized toiletries. Staff was friendly and helpful. I hope someday we can return.

The room was perfect. The hotel also has a restaurant and a bar that serves drinks and snacks during the beautiful sunset. They have a pool, and a free private beach attached to the hotel. Everyone who worked there were very nice, helpful and diligent with there duties. The hotel is pristine. This was the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Period.

That's totally fair. However it did mean I couldn't take many photos for Yelp! We stayed one night here while transiting between Rome and Nice. Our room overlooked the square with the Christopher Columbus (boooooo) statue and was literally 30 seconds from the main train station. Our room was beautiful and massive, very comfortable bed and we loved the mechanical blackout shades that blocked sound and light from the busy streets below. The coolest surprise here with the Spa. If your room comes with access like ours did, don't skip out on taking advantage of it. Each room with spa access can book one 1-hour session per day. The spa includes a circuit of hydrotherapy pool, steam room, sauna room, emotional shower (yes really that's it's name), hot stone lounge, and ice sink. Silence is appreciated. There are no phones allowed for the privacy of the other guests which is limited to six people. Bathing suits are required. It was incredibly relaxing and cured quite a bit of travel soreness. Fresh juice, water, and hot herbal tea along with robes and slippers are provided. After our spa visit we hit the bar, it was super swanky and we felt the need to dress up a bit! But it was fun. The bartender provided a very high level of service as we lounged on a gorgeous cream and blue davenport style couch and enjoyed our drinks and nibbles. Breakfast was included and fine, but the buffet felt disorganized and it was awkward trying to order a coffee, there wasn't a dedicated barista so you had to kind of flag someone that was minding the buffet or seating patrons. I would have been happy making my own coffee so this isn't meant to come across as snobbish! But they didn't allow it so it was sort of a problem. If you're in Genoa, I do recommend a stay here. One night was great, two would have been fine, but more than...ehhh. Go venture out to Portofino instead!

The towels were large and great they also had a warming bar for the towels bath robes, and slippers they have a coffee machine complementary and they give you a bottle of water every day. I don't understand why they don't put the fashion channel on all the TVs in Italy, since this is a one of fashion capital of the world, the roof floor seven where you had breakfast every morning was a nice way to start your day overlooking the city of Genoa the breakfast was plentiful. Anything you could possibly eat including gluten free products more than I've seen in most hotels, and the homemade pies if you stay here too many days, you would definitely gain weight from that the staff was excellent. You got your own food but they did bring you your coffee, we ate dinner in the restaurant which was the same place where breakfast was it was good but I really enjoyed the Trattoria that also part of hotel which was down the street from the hotel and since we already have been up in the morning and having that great view of Genoa, it was nice if you're staying in the hotel, I would definitely recommend eating in both of the restaurants and if you're not staying in a hotel, but you're in the area they are definitely worth your time to try and definitely make sure you get breakfast included because it was delicious I was happy that they had the restaurants in the hotel because the areas a little seedy remember we are in a train station area but it's very good for walking During the day to all the activities that you will be doing when you're in the city I would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again, and I'm going to check the hotel chain for other hotels in Italy
