It's not all as bad as I first thought though, I mean yes they have millions of the same pairs of shoes but I must admit if you are on a tight budget and need a new pair of shoes this store will definitely do. The shoes are reasonable prices, they have up to date fashion and also stock plenty of different sizes. The shop is quite long in size but quite squashy as all the shelves are all close together. There are always plenty of people in this store looking for bargains so it is always pretty cramped. Good cheap shoes if you are on a budget.

The staff ar efreidnly and helpful, however it can get very busy, which makes it difficult to get served and difficult to view the shoes. They sell a lot of lovely women's shoes (not just trainers) so it is worth a look and a lot of htem are very unusual and unique, which is nice and different. There is a lot of parking nearby at reasonable prices. It is locate dint he 'new part' of the city centre, near Topshop.

SuperChris-the-store-assistant leapt into action, finding them quickly on their computer and tracking them down. None left in store, and I wanted to know whether they were furry or just printed. Disaster. But, hooray! SuperChris brought down a pair of trainers from the same range for me to try for size while he got on the blower to another Schuh store to have their staff give him the textile run down on the shoe. Two minutes later and the shoes will be winging their way to me with the option of returning them any time IN THE NEXT YEAR if they're not perfect for me. Well impressed. (Also, huge range, great staff, friendly shopping experience and highly recommended!)

I've noticed the premises is always kept clean and there's rarely any rowdy or offensive behaviour. The market has some bargains, you can find the odd great summer dress for £5. It's open every day except Mondays and Wednesdays. It gets crowded on weekends, but that's to be expected in any City shopping centre. You get the odd bird flying around, too. Also, I'm not sure what the fountain is now, there used to be a gorgeous fountain near Nandos and it's been covered over.

Although i dont agree with it being the largest shopping center (it may be largest as in space taken up, but lakeside/bluewater etc are on 2 floors and i think there are more shops in these) It still was worth a visit. All the shops you would expect to find in a typical shopping center, with shops ranging for all budgets. I was slightly disappointed as i couldnt find a 'designer' shop - such as Choice/cecil gee etc like in london, but then i was looking for Ugg boots and they had an Office so i managed to get them anyway. Just thought there would be a 'higher class shop' - But then i suppose because HOF sells quite a few designers, they dont need one. A good variety of shops and Food places, clean and staff are helpful. I do find the layout slightly confusing, i have been there about 5 times now and i couldnt tell you where a certain shop was - there are loads of side alleys and different entrances etc - got a bit confusing! Also some shops are repeated (H Samuels and a sports shop etc) although apart from that it was a good day out. I like the center of the shopping center with the fountains etc, and the exhibitions they have on are great! Good entertainment always and a great day out!

But this is nice because it's not like your average shoe shop that churns out the same style of shoes but in a million different colours. If you buy your shoes from here you have more chance of someone walking past you and actually not having the same pair of shoes on as you. The only downfall is the size of this shop, If there is a sale on there's barely a chance to get in there its so cramped and by the time you do get in there the best shoes will be gone.

The store is very big and all shoes are set out in sections so for example you have one section with only size 6 shoes and one section with only size 7 ect this is a very handy thing because if you find a pair of shoes you like you know they are going to fit you and they have your size, instead of going to a normal shoe store thinking you've found the shoes you need then asking for your size and they don't have it, then having to start searching all over again. Down side to this store is that it is actually really expensive I wanted a pair of black shoes for a wedding and the only pair decent enough for the occasion were £42!!! I bought them as I only had an hour to spare before the wedding but I didn't end up wearing them and I definitely swiftly took them back for a refund.

They have a lot of what I would call 'factory shop' shoes such as end of line or over ordered stock. They do stock brands such as Clarks and Hush Puppies aswell as a few lines of sports shoes. The boots are still priced at around £70 though and the shoes were on average between £30 and £50 which was more than I was prepared to pay from what I thought was a cheaper shop. I would go back, but only if there was a sale on. There's quite a lot of parking spaces there so that shouldn't be a problem. It's near to Maccy D's and Starbucks so you can get food too.

Some of their shoe prices are reasonable for example I bought some work shoes for £30 and they will last me and have lasted me for a long time. They have some really nice stylish shoes and boots and they always seem to be up to date with the current fashion. The disappointing bit about this store like most stores is the size; it is practically like a shoe box itself. You can't even stand a decent distance from the shelves and look at the shoes they are inches from your face, manoeuvring around the little shop is also a challenge in itself. But Mum wanted make-up for her birthday - a very SPECIFIC make-up - and the younger sister does not drive, so I was sent off to House of Fraser. Entering, it looked very formidable. Lots and lots of stands, all selling different brands. I wandered, feeling rather intimidated, until I finally plucked up the courage to ask someone wear almost makeup was. They weren't sure, and a quick consult took place before she directed me towards the Clinique stall. The lady at the Clinique stall was nothing less than wonderful with my inept flailings. Different products were explained, and when all I could remember about shades was that a 3 and an 8 might have been involved, she patiently did a Well, is your mum's skin darker than yours? Darker than mine? until we had the right stuff. Thank you, Clinique lady, for being patient when you likely wanted to strangle me. I ended up with three make up items for £44. That would have been a price to whimper at, except they were doing an offer which meant I also got a huge bag of samples (really, HUGE) and some body lotion and hand stuff. That is, apparently, why the younger sister ordered me to go - they do do good free gifts. I can't say I'd go again for ME, because it looked far too girly a shop, but for gifts certainly, and the customer service in there was absolutely great.

It is technically outside but there is a cover over it and it is very warm once you get inside - but it can be a shock from the centre:MK. There are a number of cafes here also and a couple of places to eat all reasonably priced. It is a nice addition and if you are in the centre:MK is it worth walking that bit extra around here.
