I didn't do business with Clark's for auto repair, (I do auto-body work myself). I bought something from the owner off Craigslist. The item turned out to be defective, although I'm sure he didn't know that.
I called him back and got the answering machine. I let him know about the problem and that I understood Craigslist was essentially buyer beware and that he hadn't actually given me any warranty or guarantee. In short, I gave him an out.
He didn't take the out, and instead called me back and it was clear he was more concerned with me thinking he was the kind of person that would knowingly sell something that was bad than anything else. He took back the item and gave me back the money.
As I said, I do bodywork myself so I know from talking to him and seeing the shop that he knows what he is doing. On top of that he's ethical. I'm not sure what else you could want in any place you do business with. read more
