A wonderful stationery shop which sells no only cards and stationery but a great choice of toys and gifts too. Prices are very reasonable, staff are friendly and helpful. The store accepts cards and cash. read more

Proper Style London

While on holiday in London, I knew I wanted to spend at least a day shopping in the city, but I…read moredidn't know where to begin. I found Casey at Proper Style, and I'm so grateful I did! Casey planned an entire day of shopping based upon my lifestyle, needs and budget and then pre-pulled at the shops so all I had to do was show up and try things on. Throughout the day she continued to show me how to mix and match pieces together to create outfits I never would have imagined and gave me useful styling tips based on my body type and coloring. I only wish I lived in the UK so I could hire Casey to come to my house and makeover my entire wardrobe! Five stars for sure.

I trust her completely and the whole experience was quite relieving and has changed the way I shop and how I look at my closet! If only I had done this years ago!

After venturing in, I was pounced on by a man who I later deduced was the manager who would not leave me alone. I tried to browse but to no avail. I tried a jacket, which was lovely but out of my price range but he would not have that as the end of it. I left soon after feeling rather put off by the whole experience. This style of sales died out with the ark I thought! I will not be back
Miss Selfridge

Miss Selfridge has been known to override Topshop on many of my numerous shopping expeditions. I…read morereally like it as although it isn't huge, it has bang on trend pieces and a great shoe and accessory range. I suppose the only negative aspect of Miss Selfridge is that it caters for a slightly younger crowd than Topshop and is consistent and quite 'samey' in its lines as opposed to appealing to different preferences and styles. It is perhaps a little less cool also. Nevertheless I think the clothes are great value - not too cheap but not too pricey and I can always personally guarantee that I will find something.
In my opinion, Miss Selfridge is good for one thing: pants. They're brilliant and much cheaper than…read moreTopshop's offerings with pure silk smalls that are a dead ringer for Myla's designs coming in at about the price of a Big Mac. It is inevitable that Miss Selfridge, being located right next to its sister store, Topshop, will always be left wanting a little when it comes to its sartorial offerings. It's target demographic - 15 - 25 year olds - just a little young; its collections less sophisticated and contemporary. That said, Miss Selfridge is worth a visit. Just make a beeline for the underwear.
