I was intrigued by the signage proclaiming that they had local strawberry baskets and after breakfast, walked over and spoke to the lad manning the store register. He explained they had a farm in a place called Maharees and the strawberries were grown there, a 30 minute drive from Dingle township. The strawberries looked so lovely and fresh plus they were a normal size not the steroid induced size that I normally find at Costco. So I purchased a basket for €3.50 and they were delicious! Also while I was in the shop, it was all locals, so imo, def check it out if you are visiting and pick up the produce and support a local farmer. Note: #269 of Yelp 100 challenge for 2016

There's a chocolate cookie shop, fermented foods stand, bread and pastry, cheese, fish, and meats. The atmosphere is lively and friendly. There's even a clothing and jewelry shop. It's a large farmer's type market serving the entire city. In addition to the shopping and eye candy just looking, it's a wonderful place to observe a cross section of the people who live here.

I had the most amazing steak sandwich & fresh squeezed OJ. All the stands looked like it had amazing food and goodies. I wish we had more time to explore all the stands, but was in a crunch to leave for the Cliffs Of Moher. Everyone we did interact with were extremely nice and pleasant. I would definitely recommend making a trip here if you have time!

Still, you'll find a wide selection of handmade chocolates and other sweets you can order individual pieces of. Packaged sweets range from the mass-produced kind you'll find in the supermarket to the nice kind you'd feel comfortable gifting to somebody you like. Unfortunately, they no longer sell the "Galway Girl" chocolate that's shown in one of the pictures on Yelp. The cashier pointed me to other chocolate bars that she said were the same chocolate but different packaging, like "Hello from Galway" and "Kiss Me, I'm Irish". There's an 8 euro minimum for credit cards. Also, I didn't see any free samples being given out. This is a fine place to get sweets for yourself and those you care about, but it being a chain store makes the experience a little less personal.

In this particular shop, a massive amount of patrons are the school-chlidren from English-language courses, usually in groups of 20 or more and all getting their own sweets separately. In fairness to the staff here, they never seem to break a sweat or get stressed out by this occurrence, and they're always super sound.

Hazel Chocolate Mountain Burren Chocolatier is a lovely little shop and I believe there's a little cafe on site as well though we didn't stop in there. The chocolate shop serves up delicious and beautiful chocolates in a variety of ways. When we were in, we were happy to explore the shop as well as hear a bit about the business and their approach to chocolate from one of their lovely workers. We took home some pretty truffles for gifts as well as Irish whiskey truffles for ourselves (a delight!). Definitely worth the stop. One note: The cafe is in the front and the chocolate shop is through the outdoor arch toward the back. Get to it!

The lady who was working the store did a small sampling with us and gave a quick backstory. It was a nice, local business to stop in and support on our way to Galway.
