I had to move my issue to another law firm in order to get a satisfactory end to my parent's estate situation. I paid too much and got zero results. She started to help draft a update to our family trust. Then during this process, one parent suffered major depression and became incapacitated. Other one had beginning symptoms of dementia. I left her a message while dealing with all this about how to proceed (updated trust was not signed because of this). After that, and repeated emails and phone messages she never responded even to acknowledge she understood the situation and help with what could be the next steps is any. Total blew us off without even returning a call or even an email to say that she declined to represent or service us. Never have I experienced this level of unprofessionalism. After waiting weeks for some kind of response, which never came, had to go to another lawyer. From the positive comments here, it seems she does handle some cases that are more than just filing paperwork, but for some reason, not with us. read more

Needed to amend some family trusts to change executors and beneficiaries, and make minor amendments to our wills. Wanted someone local and saw the positive yelp reviews and trusted them. At mtg Clara Yang said she charges $400 an hour which seemed fair. Figured this would be 4 hours tops. Second meeting she said the cost would be $4,500 to make all the changes. Wish she had told us that outright and saved us our time and the $400 she charged us just to get to the point of her telling us the cost. We did not pay $4,500 to have these trusts established in the first place and amending trusts should cost even less. And it should not require 11 billable hours to amend language in existing trusts! A lawyer friend of ours who practices in L.A. thought this sum outrageous. He's going to do it for us for $1,000 tops. We've hired very good attorneys before for various professional purposes, like overlooking contracts, negotiating complicated settlements, etc. whose hourly cost was higher but who did not inflate their billable hours and whose services were ultimately more affordable than this. We are a bit perplexed by this as it was so over the top. Very disappointed to have to write this review but given all the positive reviews, and the repeated comment that her pricing is fair, I feel compelled to warn consumers. At the very least, ask for her pricing before you take a meeting with her! read more
