I don't consider the former to be a pale at all, but Tulum's is okay, if a bit too heavy on the carbonation. We ordered shrimp tacos, philly tacos, pina coladas, wings, and beers. The wings were fried crispy and sauced good but I did not like them. The breaded coating was inconsistent and too hard. The tacos both shrimp and philly tasted great. Pina coladas were decent and the beers are your typical beers. I did like the extra sauces we got. Habanero which was hot, something similar to teriyaki, a spicy ranch type sauce, and a creamy mayo sauce. Very nice.

The music may have affected the mistakes in our orders, but we yelled as loud as we could and pointed at the menu to demonstrate our needs. We also had a Spanish speaking individual at the table, so we were not helpless in communication. Alas, modifications were forgotten, both getting things added and subtracted. I requested that cheese be added to my veggie tacos, and my friend requested no onions, both requests were not heard/fulfilled. The service was slow to respond as they stay in the street to lure in more customers. The gentleman who serviced me gave me a a favor for my low tip, which I found distasteful. I work in service, and if the service is bottom barrel, so it my tip. We actually ended up going elsewhere for a meal. I'd love to see that they switch up how this location is ran as it has a great location on the strip!

As a Portlander I am a big hops snob and was VERY pleased by the tap and fridge list. I chose the pick-your-own flight and tried four IPAs from local breweries all across Mexico. Comes out to $1 USD per 3oz which is lovely when you want to try a bunch. They have a huge selection of all styles and regions though, and I wish I would have gotten more to-go beers to share with my friends back in Oregon. When you get a flight (or maybe always, it wasn't clear) they do BOGO pints of certain taps. We tried the weissbier and the coffee stout. We didn't get to try the food. Service was very attentive and friendly. I wish I spoke more Spanish to make it easier on the waiter though! If you're a beer fan and you're near downtown Cancun, definitely stop here! Probably the best selection in the entire area.

Good Cancun breeze, good snacks n fun people; much fun! Good vibes here as I walk back to Parque Palapas.
