I really wish I had read the reviews before booking this company. I called Tom to change the mech strip on my window. He told me the full service would be around £59 (discounted as I'm local), plus £30 for any parts and 20% VAT. He also said someone would arrive within 30 minutes. Someone did arrive and after briefly looking at the window, he said it couldn't be removed and suggested installing a sash jammer as a "temporary" solution. I refused because this would require drilling into the frame and permanently damaging it. I then contacted another company who said they would come out later as they had several jobs ahead. However, within an hour another person showed up at my house. I asked if he was Chris (from the second company), but he said his name was James, so I assumed he might be from the same company I had contacted earlier. He carried out a very poor quality repair and then charged £79 labour and £60 for parts -- a total of £166.80, which was far higher than what I had originally been quoted. He also asked to use my toilet and did so twice within a short period while at the property, which I personally found uncomfortable and unprofessional given the brief nature of the visit. Later that afternoon (around 3pm), Chris from the second company I contacted arrived, which made the whole situation even more confusing about who had actually carried out the earlier work. When I called Tom to clarify whether he had sent multiple people to my address, he was rude, dismissive, and hung up on me when I asked about his business details. I felt extremely uncomfortable and pressured by the situation. Because I was unsure who had attended my property and felt the pricing was misleading, I contacted my credit card provider to dispute the transaction. Only after I mentioned a chargeback did Tom briefly confirm he had done the job, but he remained unhelpful and unprofessional throughout. Overall, a very stressful experience with poor communication, unclear pricing, and extremely disappointing service. I have raised a dispute with my bank regarding the charges. read more

When I called, some guy started yelling at me for clicking on a sponsored ad and he losing money because of it. Absolutely unbelievable! He can't set up ads to show for targeted keywords in the region he covers and blames his clients for losing him money. read more

Absolutely DO NOT USE! They are even greatful I've give them one star out of five. -out of choice- I rang 07747337180, told them i needed someone to come and let me back into my house. He said someone will be with you within the hour and said i'll get a massive discount because we are in the area. 1hour and 20 minutes have passed. No update from there side, so i rang again...he said ill ring the driver and get back to you in five minutes. Five minutes have passed, guess what i didn't receive a call back - shock- So i then rang yet again asking whats the update...he said he will be with you soon. I said how soon as im with my daughter you said he was within the hour and its been 2hours now, is he definitely coming? He said im sorry and thanks for being very patient ill call him and call you back. Did i get a call back...absolutely not. So i messaged saying. For them to not come we have waited 3hours at this point. He then pipped up about a cancellation fee, he said he was minutes away.. he wasn't at all. We then was in the house as this point as we got someone else in with in 15min with him saying we couldnt get anyone. I also blocked the number after i told him to not bother...ect. Then i had Tom sending me a message threatening because of a paymeant for cancellation fee. But makes you laugh because he never called from his number to say he was outside or text or even knock on our door. He then tried to call me later on that afternoon. So then my husband took the call. He was saying i was rude! For starts he doesn't know what rude is...he has no customer service skills at all, nor does his other colleagues chatting absolutely crap, failure for call backs ...ect. Tom stated he was outside for 40min...i can tell you he wasn't he was there for 5min. Just to make people aware they have two websites with the same number. One says no call out fees and no hidden fees... (thats why i called) but then you look into the other website it says cancellation fees...but it isnt clear what it covers. So they changed use £29.00 for a call out. Im sorry but we shouldnt have been changed as call outs are free. Not work was needed from him. He is even lucky he got paid...he messaged a little fee...£29.00 isnt small. £10. To £15.00 is. Tom said we will get a link within the hour to pay the 29.00...an hour passed no link was received he said if we dont pay it within the hour it will then to up and up...so it got to the point we turned around and said we aint waiting you send use you details and we will pay it. He then did send the details...thats how keen he is for getting our money and others. Ill put the pictures of both sites. Absolutely a scam. Money grabbers. People that need to learn better people skills. I would put the texts on here...but i dont wanna embarrass them anymore than what they have already made them selfs. They make customers wait for hours (because they aren't actually local) then when the customer cannot wait any longer and cancel, they force them to pay a cancellation fee over the phone and lots of people, out of fear, pay the fee. I booked a call out, and cancelled it about 10 minutes after booking and was told by Tom there was a cancellation fee for which I would get a link to pay, and if I didn't pay it "The bailiffs will be round and take your stuff". When I asked how much the cancellation fee was he said it would say on the link and I'll call you back and then he hung up! I called him back to query the cancellation fee and he got VERY rude and obnoxious before hanging up again. I got the link to pay the cancellation fee - £49 which I paid only because I didn't want any more dealings with this horrible person. He's just shown himself up as the nasty person he is by threatening me with bailiffs right from the start without even me refusing to pay the cancellation fee. Needed a door opening and was quoted £59 for everything door opening and lock replaced and was told we were getting a big discount because we were local, was told some one would be with us by 1pm, don't hear anything so we contacted them and was told will get back to you in 5 minutes, we had to call again and was told the guy was on a job taking longer than usual, then was told when we asked again he had broken down, so we cancelled the call out, next day my partner got a text saying sorry for the what had happened and it could be done today so my partner checked if it was still the £59 quoted for opening the door and replacing the lock which we was told it was still £59 for the FULL SERVICE, so we agreed, the guy came round opened the door and replaced the lock but then when it came to payment was told £59 to open the door then an extra £35 for the lock, so obviously we queried it and shown the text and was told "well he hasnt fully confirmed it has he" well yeah he did FULL SERVICE, so he phoned​ his boss and told him we were refusing to pay (dint realise questioning a price was refusing) so he phoned his boss and we was told 'well yeah we can't pay for the lock as well, you already have it discounted' so we was told either pay the £59 and the new lock will be removed or pay the full amount, even though we had the texts to show the price was for everything, Very shoddy behaviour and just a big scam, should have read reviews first especially with people saying they were threatened by the manager Would avoid full stop and go else where read more

I'd engaged with CK Locksmiths to install 2no locks on 2 doors yet they'd left after I'd made the payment with the job half finished as they hadn't installed the key hole plates. When I called their number to complain the man on the phone simply could not care less and explained they had other jobs on and couldn't return to finish the job, even though they supposedly meant to be based local to me in Accrington. I massively advise people NOT to use this threatening and abusive bully, Tom. on Friday 18th August, I called this company to help me get in to my vehicle. on the phone, I was quoted £79 and around an hour for them to come out to me. An hour and 20 minutes later, I had heard nothing. I contacted Tom to find out where the 'engineer' is. he said he will phone and call me back in 5 minutes. nothing. This went out for approximately another hour where I continued to phone up and he would say he'll call me straight back. Tom told me on the phone he will sort me out a 'massive discount'. Eventually, 3 hours after I first called I was told the engineer is 15/20 minutes away. 30 minutes later he turned up. When I came to pay, i was charged the original amount of £79 - I questioned it and he said he can't do me any discount and I'd have to call the boss, Tom. I rang Tom numerous times and to my shock, he never answered. I paid the £79 so the engineer could get on his way. Saturday 20th August, I rang Tom numerous times to discuss this 'discount'. he failed to answer for hours. Eventuwlly, I got through and explained the situation - to begin with he tried saying £79 is a 'massive discount' however this is what I was originally quoted. when this was mentioned, Tom turned abusive and aggressive threatening to come to my property and 'meet me to sort it in person'; we're all mature enough to know exactly what this means. The absolute worst customer service I have seen. Would not recommend to anyone!! Really rude and unprofessional. The locksmith was 2 hours late to begin with. I was then charged more than I was quoted for and when I asked the locksmith why the extra charge, he said he does not know. I called to ask for clarification and the guy on the phone was extremely rude and felt the need to mansplain how it's my fault for not understanding their pricing. What bothered me more, is the fact that on top of this extra charge for which I still have no explanation for as the person on the phone refused to give me any answers rather than being rude to me, is the fact that they charge a lot more if you pay by card, so beware of that. I called previous to my appointment to ask if I should pay cash, and they told me that card payment/bank transfer is absolutely fine without mentioning the hidden extra VAT for that. As other reviews had written, worst, unprofessional service I've met in Liverpool. I called and he requested my address, I asked how long would it take and he said he have to find the right person, might take 2-3 hours, and would call me back in 5 minutes. He never called back, so I booked another locksmith which is very responsive and contact us through SMS immediately. Later this CK's engineer came and request for 49GBP cancellation fee. I called the company to find the person who talked with me but he kept on claiming its my fault and I should pay 79GBP for cancellation. They're simply so unprofessional in communications and tried to make all the things your fault by making false promises. P.S. Put a £180 strip on a door which had a 12 month guarantee but we found out it was faulty and he will not respond to emails to refund this payment to my mum that he will be able to claim back if under guarantee. If there was a zero star choice for this business that's what I would have selected. This man is very quickly aggressive and threatening, so do not use if you are female or a pensioner. I called this man and asked him if he could come out to open a neighbours front door, after it slammed shut with the wind and locked itself. Her husband was locked inside and has a severe disability. His website gave the impression he was very local, based in Wigan and he said he would be approx 15/20 mins, however he's actually based in Burnley, which would be impossible for him to get to Wigan in such a short space of time. I rang him back to cancel exactly 2 mins after speaking to him to say another more local locksmith was on his way, as the pensioner in the house, and unbeknownst to us, had already called one, which was very local. He was very insistent we cancel the local locksmith as he was already setting off. The local locksmith turned up while I was on the phone to CK locksmith, I informed him that the locksmith had already turned up ( within 10mins of the pensioner calling) and had opened the door almost immediately. At this point CK locksmith said the neighbour had to pay £30 which would be to cover his petrol, which she said she would pay him in cash when he arrived, as she didn't have online banking. He immediately said he wouldn't be coming as he'd not yet left and the £30 was now for cancellation fees, no longer petrol costs. His website clearly states there are no call out fees or hidden costs. He began really shouting at me ( he was on hands free) my neighbour and the other locksmith could hear how he was speaking to me, we were all shocked. I put the phone down on this man because of how he had started shouting and being aggressive. Within minutes I started to get text messages from him, 8 in all, saying he was going to send bailiffs to my address and called me a liar when I'd told him the other locksmith had opened the neighbours door and had charged £40. My neighbour hadn't refused to pay the £30 if he'd actually turned up, she was prepared to pay it. Which is quite alarming as he actually hadn't even set off and had done absolutely nothing to warrant charging a pensioner £30 and there were no call out charges, hidden fees etc. Because she didn't have online banking, he then started saying I had to pay the £30. This man was notified within 2 minutes of the first initial contact, to say he wasn't needed. I've taken screenshots of his messages and the actual time/ durations of the calls made to him which clearly shows he was notified straight away that he wasn't needed. Unprofessional service, couldn't fix a simple issue in 2 visits. Failed to take responsibility for the people they outsourced it to. He got £79 out of us without fixing a thing. Was fobbed off about ordering parts when the guy never even opened the door to see what the part was! Fortunately the company we called instead was able to open the door, identify the part and find a suitable replacement within an hour. The company we used instead said it was impossible to guess the correct part without opening the door, he tried one he had in his van but it wasn't compatible so got one from his workshop that did the job. All for a lesser price than the "discount" CK Locksmiths offered. read more
