After many phone messages, finally they told me everyone was on vacation! What a dumb thing to do for a paving team on vacation in the busiest time. I took time to go to their address of 25 Corellies Ave. They were not there. The other businesses told me to go to the office on Columbia Tpk. I went there. For God's sake, why don't they change their address? Their address is still 25 Corellies Ave. I sent detailed texts to the owner, Jason Hanziger, with photos of my driveway for a free estimate. But within a couple weeks of completing the job I started to see something weeping through the grout, it kept spreading. I called and Hinman returned and used my leftover tile to fix the problem, unfortunately it didn't stop! It was coming out everywhere. Soon I could no longer get anyone to answer my calls! I finally had to give up because I had no money to take them to court. This is how my shower looks now. It leaks now too. And I still don't have the money to redo it! I just had to replace the toilet and of course it cost me more because they didn't install the toilet properly and the seal failed because they just globed a bunch of silicone and it rotted. I had raw sewage leaking for at least a year! Cost me $800. To repair! Stay away!! If they make a mistake they will blow you off!!

The last time we had our driveway sealed (which is a large driveway with cracks, lawn overgrowing…read morethe sides, and in places weeds growing through it) we had a company come and they did a fantastic job. They did a thorough job edging it, they filled in the cracks, and they pulled the weeds. They also charged us almost half of what Egan charged us now, though that was in 2020. That company doesn't appear to be around now, so we looked online for reviews and after getting several went with Egan. Their estimate seemed detailed enough (we had also asked for other quotes to do other things besides sealcoating) but when it came time to actually lock it in we discovered that the low number wasn't the correct number. We had to add another number too, which made the job a lot more (though still less than the others). Arranging a time to get it done took four calls spread over several days, but they finally showed up. And their work was less than spectacular. Yes, the driveway is mostly black. But they missed some spots along the edges; they didn't bother to fill in any cracks; they actually applied the tar over weeds in situ (sort of like those online pictures of highway striping crews painting right over roadkill) leaving black plants sticking up; and they didn't edge everything properly first and part of their tar was just brushed on dirt which was on top of the driveway which instantly peeled off a day later. Now, to be fair if I had to do this all myself (not a fun job) I doubt I could have done it much better. But for $1400 we expected more. In the future I will make sure the contract clearly specifies crack filling, full edging, etc. Since their quote was the lowest and most of my driveway now has sealcoat on it I can live with it. But I will likely look elsewhere next time as you get what you pay for. Maybe our previous company spoiled us with amazing service?
