We love them! We have used them for last 3 years and they have been very very good to us. I cant remember them letting us down at all. I highly recommend! Dog: Zeus Day and Family!

The cremation certificate from BlackHawk Pet Crematory, Mac's ashes in the tin and the necklace, and the clay paw print from CityLine

It's been awhile but I'm adding another review because this place deserves it. I posted before about appreciating the care my kitty, Macaroni, got when she was sick and diagnosed with chronic kidney disease 1 year ago. Thanks to the help and guidance I was given by CityLine, I got 4 more months with Mac before she went into another episode of acute on chronic kidney failure and her little body gave up on her. I knew the day had arrived and I called CityLine to tell them we'd be coming in although I also knew they didn't take appointments. Through my sobs, the kind lady on the other end of the phone told me they tried to accommodate people in my situation as quickly as possible. When we arrived with Macaroni, they almost immediately put us into a room that had been set up specifically for an animals last moments. Dr. Hoyt came in and said all the things I needed to hear and answered all the questions I had. He assured me, I was making the best decision for my sweet girl. He explained everything as it was happening and gave us more than enough time with her after it was over. He was kind despite my screams and wails and anger that he had done what I asked for, what I knew needed to be done. They organized pick up with a local animal crematory and also had an option for me to get some clay paw prints made up for my family and I. It was a hard day but they did the best they could to make it easier... I will always be grateful.

This is the waiting area. It's very difficult to navigate if you have a pet with limited mobility due to the slippery surface.

Turned us down to see our dog that had just broken his leg. He was crying in pain and they didn't care.

Professional and very helpful. Convenience of walk-in rather than waiting days for an appointment.

Ask the Community - Coyne City Line Veterinary Center

Do they take appointments?

Hi, Stephen. We do not take appointments. We are a walk-in veterinary clinic. You can only reserve boarding, daycare, and grooming ahead of time. Thanks!

Does this vet also treat exotic reptiles?

Hi, Suzanne! Out veterinarians only treats dogs and cats. There are other local clinics that have veterinarians specializing in exotics on staff that can help you with your reptile needs.

This was a great comfort to us. We will definitely use "Almost Home" again for boarding and day camp. Thank you to the staff for making this a very great experience for our fur baby and us. Their Puppy Prep program has been so great for him and myself as a dog-owner newbie. The Puppy Prep program is seriously too good of an offer to pass up! Your pup can attend every day, Tuesday through Friday, between 7am-6pm until they're 20 weeks old. The trainers work with your puppy to help them learn potty training, kennel training, leash training, basic commands, and obedience! AND!! This program includes bi-weekly Wednesday night group training sessions!!! Seriously - this program couldn't be any better! The trainers and owners are SO nice and SO GREAT with the dogs. They go above and beyond. Ember's trainer hadn't worked with a Catahoula Leopard dog before so she *researched* the breed so she could better understand his needs and then she tailored his training to his needs and learning style!! How amazing is that?! Check. Them. Out!!! PS - does anyone know how I can keep my dog from aging because I never want him to age out of this program!!!

7/31/21 Joyce N. Davenport, Iowa…read more My miniature dog, Rusty, was boarded for a week at Eldridge, Posh Resort while we were on vacation. They didn't return my phone calls asking for an update on how he was doing for 3 days. No Facebook photos posted until we got home. Would have been nice to see him while he was there. He had dried dark green feces on his butt when we picked him up. Eventual Facebook photo did capture such condition in evidence. Would had taken nothing to clean him with a Wet-one or something after pooping. They said he was "singing" the whole time. I believe it was a cry for help. Our cat, Benny, was also boarded there at the same time. Appears to have lost some weight. Not all his food was used up. Both animals have been clingy & so grateful to be home. We will never use that facility again. Usually have been pleased with boarding at Pleasant Valley location in past. There wasn't enough room for the two of them this time during our vacation slot.

We planned to pick her up about 48 hours later on Sunday after visiting our son in Milwaukee. At about 11:00am on Sunday, November 12, 2017, a representative of Posh left a voicemail message indicating that we should not be too concerned, but that she was going to take Rio to the emergency vet clinic. We first listened to this message at about 11:30am as we were leaving Milwaukee to return home and immediately returned the call. On that call the Posh representative told us that they were taking Rio to the emergency vet because she had blood in her stool, would not eat and was generally not responding well. We asked her to call us as soon as Rio saw the vet. Kelly Beaston called us about noon to tell us that Rio passed away just after arriving at the emergency vet. Ms. Beaston started to tell us about the events that preceded Rio's death, but not wanting to have a car accident (Ann was crying uncontrollably and I was stunned), I told her we needed to have some time to deal with the shock of Rio's death and that we would call her back. Ms. Beaston expressed her condolences and said she would await our call. We called Ms. Beaston back about 45 minutes later. During the calls with the Posh representative and Ms. Beaston we were told: * Sometime on Saturday, Rio and another dog were playing and that when it got too rough the handler had to separate them. * After separating the dogs, the handler and the other staff on duty looked at Rio and determined that she was "only bruised." * Rio was taken to the employee area where she ate. * At some point Sunday morning the staff called the Posh representative that had first called us and informed them that Rio had blood in her stool, would not eat and was generally not responsive. In my discussion with Ms. Beaston, I asked her why Rio was not taken to the vet after the incident or, in the alternative, why we were not called. She indicated that the handler and the other staff on duty decided it was not necessary because while Rio was shaken up a bit, there was no blood, only bruising and that she was able to eat. I also asked about the size and breed of the other dog. Ms. Beaston told us it was a "mixed breed" between 30 and 40 pounds. Note, the Animal Control Officer that investigated this incident told us the other dog was a Pit Bull. The reason we include this is not to suggest a bias against Pit Bulls or to blame this other dog, rather, to point out that we felt misled by Ms. Beaston's answer. I do not know if it was at the end of this call or if Ms. Beaston called us back a short time later, but she asked whether we wanted her to stay at the emergency vet until we got there so "we could yell at her." I told her we had no intention of yelling at her, that if we had any other questions after seeing Rio's body and talking with the emergency vet team that we would get in touch. Further, we had 60-90 minutes more to travel and saw no purpose in her waiting around. The call concluded with Ms. Beaston repeating that she was sorry. When we arrived at the emergency vet we met with a vet tech and said our goodbyes. The vet tech indicated that they were uncomfortable with the circumstances surrounding Rio's death so they shaved her sides to document the trauma photographically. We have included those postmortem photos. The emergency vet clinic told us that Ms. Beaston covered the cost of the vet's services but we incurred the cost of her cremation. Posh never even offered us any other compensation for our loss. In our opinion, Posh should have taken Rio to a vet after the incident. At a minimum, Posh should have called us and allowed us to decide. If they had called us, we would have directed Posh to take Rio either to her regular vet or the emergency vet clinic. While we will never know whether such action would have saved her life, we do know that we could have prevented her prolonged suffering. As saddened as we are that Rio died, we are horrified and angry that she spent the night alone suffering a slow painful death.

They tested and diagnosed him (as I already expected) that was positive for Parvo. The vet informed me that I would be paying thousands of dollars to treat him but because he was so small, I would be best off putting him down that same day because he won't make it. I was told that he would suffer too much if I treated him and it would be more humane to end his life beforehand. I took him to a different vet for a second opinion, they quoted me a grand and an overnight stay. They told me he had a fighting chance. He was there one night, came home last night and is making a miraculous recovery. If I would have listened to Abel Keppy, I would not be cuddling my baby boy as I write this review. I'm so glad I found a vet that actually cared enough to save him and not charge me outrageous amounts of money to do so.
