I don't mind this shop, but am finding their coffee less and less special. Maybe it's because I've become used to it, but I think not. Despite it being a local chain, and worth supporting for that alone, the coffee is neither unique or memorable, This particular location is all over the place when it comes to customer service. It goes from hot to cold sometimes in the same day. The manager is very good, but it's clear some of the employees would rather be anywhere else. I get it; early mornings are the worst for none-morning people, but can you at least try? I don't expect sunshine and smiles, but at least stop yawning. This particular location has subdued lighting and from what I can tell, no background music. I like that atmosphere in the early morning and late afternoon when I need to get ready or wind down. read more

Sad to see this one City Brew location has bad reviews. We're from out of town and decided to stop here because it was close and local. The barista was super helpful and nice. Got our coffee promptly and the foam was perfect and delicious. read more

When we ordered, the young girl looked and acted like she had never had someone ask what coffees they had brewed. She turned and asked the manager, who answered with city brews name of the roasts. Holiday, Zimzilla and northern. I can guess what holiday is, and when I asked what zimzilla was I got the look again, that she had never been in a coffee shop before. The manager answer this is a light roast that's darker. Cmon, people who enjoy coffee would like a little more information about the coffee. We sat and waited for our coffee while they straightened up the shelves of whole bean coffee for sale. After 10 minutes of sitting out to the counter and questioned them about my drinks. That were not made yet. They made my drinks promptly, but I had to remind them about my ham and cheese croissants. Those were brought over to us quickly afterwards, mine had a small roll of meat, my wife's had no cheese. I love the city brew at home, they are fast, efficient, have pleasant staff, and the coffee is always good. That's why I came here today, but I didn't get any of that, the coffee is fine (that's why 2 stars) but I will not return to this city brew ever again read more

Staff is usually friendly, but there's not enough of them. Coffee isn't great, but drinkable. I guess I just don't understand the economics. I know they're making a lot of money already. Do they think this will always be the case? Maybe the owners are just looking to cash out. Seems like great service and a great product would be a wiser approach in the long term. read more

Even after repeating the order 3 times to him we still had the wrong coffees....medium. extra cream extra sugar... tall came out, said we wanted med not paying for tall... mediums came out, drove away, all 3 were black, no extra cream no extra sugar... what a waste They are opening one by us in Cody and we won't be customers. No desire to hurt or local owned coffee shops and city brew has gotten our order wrong every time we have been there in Montana. read more

I stopped in for a coffee and decided to also have a bagel. I requested the bagel to be toasted extra, and emphasized it by repeating it twice, saying I wanted it well done. Not only was it not well toasted, but it was under-toasted and chewy. In addition, I requested cream cheese and butter but received no butter. Obviously my requests went in one ear and out the other. Or the girl who took my order just didn't care. If they can't get my bagel order right, I see no reason to spend money there again. read more

I go here weekly and haven't had a messed up order in ages. The rewards add up fast if you're into that kinda thing.

If you want tiny food at high prices and mediocre drinks this is the place. Service wasn't bad but the coffee wasn't good and the charger drinks aren't anything special. read more

They have a sign that requests electronic payment but they do not have a reader for Apple Pay or any other electronic payment. WTF. I ordered two praline white mochas and a huckleberry white mocha. Well they got part of the order right. They gave me a regular white mocha instead of the huckleberry white mocha. I'm so disappointed because the huckleberry was so good when I ordered it yesterday. read more

Awesome coffee, awesome service! I've only been here a few times, but every time I went the people were smiling, helpful, efficient and friendly. The coffee was brewed to perfection each time. I typically have an issue with coffee shops as they tend to put too much sugar, creamer or the coffee is too hot. Not City Brew, everything was great! City brew coffee areas are built cozy for the customer, have the kick coffee should have, and even have flavored options that are not too pretentious. A few key points: Inside: spacious, clean bathrooms, high stools, tables, private booths. This place is not stingy with their power outlets! Service: quick and friendly. The fact that they have drive thrus are a major plus! Best Coffee/food: favorite drink is an almond milk maple brown sugar latte, cookies and squares are all good but umpqua oats is my favorite. read more

Such a great place to drink! Went in tonight and ordered a drink from a young lady named Ellen. Forgot to ask to have it made with Soy and after Ellen started making the drink I had mentioned my mistake. Without hesitation, she made the drink again for me. I don't know how someone can mess up a simple white chocolate and caramel mocha. But it tastes horrible and every time I go to City Brew I know I'm making a mistake I don't know why I keep going back I should just stick with Starbucks. Always a disappointment read more

This location (Shiloh crossing) is wonderful. I know 90% of the staff and they remember me :) they always know me by my order or my voice in the drive thru. Great customer service by them and I go there almost everyday. It's my favorite City Brew location. And for anybody that complains that their order is wrong- they fix it right away no questions asked! All in all, they're wonderful! read more
