We had a Gree central heat pump installed in June of 22 and for two months it was great. Then when…read morethe weather began to cool off we couldn't get the house to warm over 18C no matter what we did. We called and they booked us a service appointment one month later(!). The weather wasn't that cold yet so I grudgingly accepted. Then I got my power bill a few days later and it was TRIPLE what it normally had been with my old furnace in WINTER (this was for July) - over $700!. I called back and demanded someone come and take a look at it immediately. They did and discovered it was a setting that had been set wrong. They fixed it, but in spite of my claim that they should reimburse part of my power bill, my calls and emails were ignored. Fine. Fast forward to today... June of 23. Just over one year after installation (by 2 weeks). I discovered a puddle in my laundry room that originated from my heat pump in the room next to it. Called them and it will take two weeks to get someone to come look at it. AND I was told that since it's been over a year there would be a service fee. Unacceptable. I'm going to have to fix it myself. Overall, the original installation went great. They had it installed and running in one day. After that, they don't seem to care about customer service. This seems to be a company that wants to sell you a product then wash their hands of you. Stay away.

He was professional and had a helper. then we purchased a new home and had him come back to install 2 mini splits. he came alone no helper did the job we paid him wasn't a year later one of the mini split had a code he came fixed it charged the labour which is fine as labour isn't covered under warranty. Then out of the blue he messaged me to say he'd be in the area for cleaning the day of well I was at work so that didn't work for me. so I said maybe Friday or the Monday that was a maybe not yes come do it. so he tried messaging I was away with my child due to a medical issue. then my upstairs until started marking a big noise so I messaged him and his response was" well had I have went and cleaned it I would have caught that". ok doesn't matter it's under warranty and I want it fixed. told he was busy for a few weeks send him a video and he would diagnose the problem order the part and get back to me. so this has been going on since October 2025. i finally gave up messaging him. Just a heads up for those looking into purchasing mini-splits/heat pumps…read more In October last year we had Jeff O'Neil (owner/operator) of All-Phase Heating and Cooling come to our home to offer a "free estimate" for installing 3 mini-splits in our home. We paid him a deposit of $500 to secure his services for when we got approved by the government assessment to allow for the rebate. Jeff told us that once we were approved the $500 would go towards our mini-split purchase and installation. In the spring of this year, we had a basement flood that ended up costing a huge amount of money for us to install a sump pump and to repair the damages. Needless to say, we could no longer afford to go through with the purchase of mini-splits, even though we would qualify for the government rebate (we paid for the assessment and we were approved). Due to the financial loss (and stress) of unexpected costs to repair the basement, we aren't able to go ahead with the mini-splits this year, and being down on money we asked Jeff for our deposit back until such time as we can move forward. We explained all that had happened... and how we are in a bad financial position right now (not expecting what had happened with the basement). We also explained that we are a single income family (my husband is disabled and I'm the only one working), but we told him that when we could move forward we would call him. We contacted Jeff O'Neil on a few occasions to ask for our deposit back (he didn't provide any equipment or services, just the estimate alone). He has flat out said we will not receive our money back. The quote we were provided (in writing) doesn't say anywhere that this deposit is non-refundable, yet he is withholding our $500.00. My husband and I are at a loss for what to do! My husband called him again today and asked again (for the third time) to please refund our money. He was unsympathetic, and said it doesn't matter that our paperwork doesn't say it's non-refundable. He's keeping our money. No products were purchased. No service was provided. No installation was booked and no further visits were made to our property.
