They have no Wi-Fi to use their banking app. I tried to log into my app but couldn't get it.

Every interaction I've had with tellers and advisors at this bank has been positive. They are all polite, efficient and helpful.

I had a certified death certificate with me and had written a letter requesting that this service be performed. The person doing the process went to MY profile and ENTERED ME AS DECEASED. It then took more than an hour for her to undo the damage. As of this moment my checking accounts are open, although at one point there was a "hold" on at least one of them. However, ALL of my debit cards were "killed" as soon as I was entered into the system as deceased. It is Wednesday (1/11/2023). I will not have new cards until Monday (1/16/2023), IF THEN because Monday is Martin Luther King Day. The compensation I received was the refund of the service charge fees for one month on each account. I do not think that the branch manager even knows that this happened. And, at one point I blew up because the person who made the error was taking a very long time trying to scan something into their system. The floor walker talked to me like I was being unreasonable. Seriously? My husband died. This process should not have taken more than 20 minutes at most. But instead, I was sitting in a cubicle for almost 90 minutes while the person who did the damage kept saying "this has never happened to me before". Find another bank to do business with. If you are stuck with Chase, use another branch. This branch is quite simply unacceptable. PS. I did NOT have ANY problems at M&T Bank nor at Fairfield County Bank for the same service -- removing my husband's name from our accounts.

    M&T Bank

    M&T Bank

Extremely unprofessional and disappointing experience…read more About three weeks ago I had fraud charges on my M&T account. I did everything by the book: I called customer service, canceled my card, and was told a new one would be shipped. Unfortunately, I never received it. When I tried to log in this morning, I was locked out because my old card no longer worked and my recovery phone/email weren't up to date. After spending nearly an hour on the phone with M&T support, they told me I would need to visit a branch in person to update my recovery email so I could regain access to my account. Since there's a branch right down the road, I went there expecting help. Instead, I was greeted by the rudest and most unprofessional behavior I've ever experienced in a bank setting. The front desk associate, Mark, was polite and tried to assist, but when he asked another employee (a younger woman at one of the desks) to help me, she immediately dismissed me, told me to "call customer service" (which I had already done), and was visibly annoyed. When asked for help putting in a new email associated with my m&t account, she rolled her eyes, whispered "I'm going to kill myself," and went back to ignoring the situation completely. I was the only customer in the building, so there was no excuse for the refusal to help. Instead of professionalism which you would expect in a bank setting, I was met with attitude, disrespect, and complete disregard for customer service. I have never felt so dismissed or uncomfortable in a bank branch. M&T should be ashamed to have someone representing them this way. If this is the standard at this branch, I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.
