It took over an hour to check in the car and get dropped off at the airport.
The second, and worst experience, just happened. I made a reservation, and paid for it in full for a small SUV, three weeks prior to my arrival. When I arrived at the airport with my guests I was told that they had no cars! What was worse is that they wouldn't have cars until the following day and they could not guarantee the small SUV that I had paid for. Fortunately I was able to get a car from another company; however, Thrifty had already charged my credit card the moment I had made the reservation three weeks before. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company to get my money back. BTW, Thrifty, at least in Mexico, is owned by Hertz. As the saying goes- "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. Needless to say, I won't be fooled again. You have now been warned, don't let them fool you.
