Stopped for the first time in a year in a half, shelves half empty, no one in the restaurant at noon, bathroom smelled horrible and half the stalls and urinals were out of order. I walked around amazed just looking around. This place should be studied on what not to do when a new manager or owner or whatever happened took over.

I'm glad someone in the store had some sense. I'll never go to this location again on any of my road trips. Nothing looked "up to date" Stripes is usually ok... good prices and clean. The pumps look beat up (but there were a lot of hem)... the parking lot was not clean... but the gas was priced ok. It's probably not as enormous and spectacular as some of the ones that are built along the major highways in the really busy parts of Texas, but is still very much worth your time. Coming to Buc-ee's always makes me happy. My girlfriend likes it even more than I do, so you can say that we're both massive fans and will definitely be back here many times in the future. It's about one tenth the size of the major ones, it's how it all started. It's a piece of history. Not too far from Galveston, oh Galveston, as Glen Campbell would say.

This is not a Bucky's franchise by any standard but for a small Texas coastal town a great little stop as the weather is HOT, HOT, HOT. I would feel comfortable bringing a small family here for a pitstop. There is another gas station in town that seems to be well-stocked and friendly there's not much here in the town as far as amenities so Lemur may be your best bet.
