I've made stops here so many times but never really considered writing a review because for the…read moremost part, all those stops were uneventful and felt there was really nothing to report. This time around was different because I just had to compliment the cashier who helped me with my transaction. She was incredibly funny and engaging. She greeted me with glee, asked how I was doing (and did so so very genuinely.) I replied with saying I was still adjusting to the Central Texas weather (coming from Cali and all.) She said something in the likes of not really looking forward to clocking out in a short time because she didn't like dealing with the heat either. And then we went off from there. I got so engaged in the conversation that I left impressed! For the record, the entire place is clean and nothing seemed out of place (at least noticeably.) It was a good experience - solely for how the cashier interacted with me. As I walked and got back in the car, Big Bro said they have the best deep fried burritos. With that said, I guess I have a really good reason to come back! If only for that friendly cashier. Great nth run! Who knew a gas station/store could leave a customer feeling good even for a short run. :) Looking forward to that next stop!

Went to this store today. While waiting to pay for my order the two cashiers, one of which was an…read moreassistant manager named Anthony, were too busy getting some guy his scratch tickets. Finally after waiting for about 5 minutes the assistant manager notices there are people waiting and decides to quit messing around and waves me up. No greeting, didnt tell me the total just rang it up. While he's ringing me up the scratch ticket guy pushes me and my son out of his way so he can get more tickets. Your assistant manager is still joking around with this guy and acting like we are an inconvenience to him. He doesn't ask if I needed anything else. Didn't ask if I needed a receipt. He just waved me away so he could go back to his buddy buying scratch tickets. No wonder this store has such low reviews. This place is trash. Your employees stand outside the doors and smoke cigarettes blowing their smoke at customers as they enter. This place is straight trash.

Having been both a personal and commercial customer of Mickey's here in the Killeen and Harker…read moreHeights area since 2005, and especially a many times a week customer at the #8 Mickeys on East Vet, In Harker Heights, I was dismayed to be treated like a criminal upon entering the Store. I am a well-dressed, 50 year old professional, known by face and manner to the employees of this store. I carry a bag with my students personal information entrusted to me for the Motorcycle training class I teach, I keep my personal Id and belongings, my glasses, my lunch in that bag. Upon entering the store April 7 2016, I was screeched at by a female employee (who refused to give me her name) that I had to leave my bag outside by the door. I was being treated like a criminal, a thief because I carry a backpack. Ladies are not required to leave their purse at the door unintended, but the management of this store believes it is appropriate to tell customers they must leave a backpack...unsecured, unattended. Their reasoning? who knows, it's not publically shared.. Assuming it is a theft issue... it makes even less sense to direct customers at a store that caters and attracts thieves (by admission through their own policies) to leave a bag or personal property on the ground, unsecured and unattended ripe for theft. Since 2005 I have used Mickeys to purchase thousands of gallons of gasoline and Diesel for business use, hundreds of gallons a month of both products for personal use. 3 to 6 days a week stopping in for snacks and drinks, ice for my students....But with the horrid way I was treated and the Management unable to make a common sense policy... Well there are Valero's all over central Texas as well. Valero does not post signs making the store a victim zone. (like the Mickeys that was just robbed at gunpoint yesterday, I feel bad for the employees whose lives the store owners do not care about, and the customers who may endanger them self's by going into those stores ) Valero does not treat customers, new and frequent like criminals, and there Diesel and gas burns just as well in my 3 cars, work truck, 65 training motorcycles that I am the fleet manager for.
