Now, I have gone inside a time or two or many for random gas station stuff like a delicious Coke Cola. Inside prices on things are what I'd expect from a convenient place. I'm paying more for the here you are & it is what it is stance. So I typically don't mind shelling out the extra for one item. Imo, had I decided to go to the grocery store, I'm one that would grab stuff I didn't need plus space out why I went in the first place. The only hiccup in this area IS the traffic. If you're trying to roll outta this station, heading South on Emerson, think again. It might not be in your best interest as you'll be dealing with a turn lane from Countyline Road (Westbound), the traffic light (Emerson Northbound), Indygo bus stop, & today's construction. Too many variables in the accident arena. I'd strongly urge turning North on Emerson then manipulate your efforts to the light. It's got an arrow when it's your turn. There was only one worker and someone who seemed to be a manage at the checkout area. When I paid, the worker told me that only one card had loaded, and the guy that appeared to be a "manager" had to help figure it out. The line started to grow, but they had to check each card's balance to see which one had the $25 to make sure they gave me the right card. I asked what happened and they just said one card didn't load. They didn't explain why the other card didn't load and just asked if I wanted to purchase another one. Because the line was long, I decided to pass. I've never had issues before, so I'm not sure what happened, it was weird but I didn't feel like holding up the line. I was able to use the loaded card to get gas at the pump successfully. I like to buy the card and use it at the pump for extra speedy rewards. I didn't get receipts for the gift cards due to the confusion, though the pump did print a receipt for my gas. I always get receipts because I scan them for points.

They were warmed in an oven while I went to grab a coffee and use the restroom, which was very clean and well-stocked. Pro tip: if you want a latte or another specialty coffee, order at the counter. If you want to make your own, go to the coffee bar. It's less expensive, plus they have a variety of sweeteners, Torani syrups, and assorted creamers (including plant-based). The cash register employee let me know when they were ready to go, and my grand total was less than $6. I picked up a few hot sauce packets from the condiment bar and sat down in the dining area to eat. The kolache itself is essentially a small, light sandwich. The bread was soft, with a hint of sweetness. The egg and cheese combo was perfect for my light lunch! I had a bite of the spinach and cheese kolache before I left, which was even more flavorful and cheesy! Can't wait to have it tomorrow morning. We're from Michigan and were in town for an event when we stopped by on a particularly hot Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, RVs can't be test-driven on Sundays due to state law, but Sandy was still more than happy to help us look around. She took us out on the golf cart, let us wander through the lot at our own pace, and gave us her business card so we could text her when we were finished and she would come pick us up. Because of my diabetes, combined with the heat and humidity, my blood sugar dropped very quickly and I nearly passed out. I gave Sandy a quick call, and she immediately dropped what she was doing and came to get us. She brought me back to her office, gave me trail mix and a granola bar, and even brought me a cool, wet yellow towel to help bring my body temperature down. What touched me most was that Sandy went above and beyond to take care of me, and we weren't even actual customers yet. She didn't have to do any of that--she simply saw someone who needed help and stepped in. Whenever I look at that yellow towel, I'll remember her kindness. Forever grateful.
