On the other hand, our second time we pulled in (on the way back to the front range) we couldn't have been treated more poorly than we were at that time. The trip out west was to stop and try and fix a problem we had with the lights on our horse trailer. We had one horse in it and the lights would flicker and go out over bumps on the road. We decided that we could try duct tape to secure the connection. This location didn't have any duct tape for sale but the MOD gave us some packing tape to use. We put it on and it seemed like it would work. I gave the rest of the tape back and a few dollars for the help. The way back couldn't have been more opposite. We pulled in during a busy time because the Blue Def sensor kept going off even though we just put some in. We pulled into Maverick as it was conveniently located. We found the one pump area we could get into with our rig. Unfortunately when we wanted to pull out, our angle was a little off to pull straight forward. There was a car parked in a parking space behind the trailer. Now, if that car wasn't there we could have probably just backed up a little then pulled straight out. We didn't want to take the chance of hitting the car so my friend tried to turn the trailer a little to the right to avoid the car. Unfortunately that messed up our geometry and we had too much of an angle between the truck and trailer and we couldn't pull forward. The first time she did, she ended up bumping the cement barrier in front of the pump (as this is why they are there). She back up and tried to get the trailer realigned but we were too much to the right by this time. Had that car not been there she could have turned the trailer to the left and straitened it out. When she lightly bumped the barrier, an employee of the station came out and bitched that we hit his pump. Um, no, we lightly tapped the cement and in fact the trailer had the mark from it. Nothing on the barrier. I told him that she lightly tapped the cement and she knows she is at fault and isn't the type of person who would complain. None the less, the guy took pictures of the trailer, the plates, the barrier (without a scratch) and was acting like a hard ass. I said that we got into this predicament because we were avoiding the car parked behind us. He didn't say anything. About 5 more minutes passed of us trying to wiggle the trailer to an angle we could pull out from but no luck. He was watching the whole time. Not helping. Just watching. There was a gentleman who was helping us. He just drove straight from Florida and still was willing to help. After 5 minutes the man helping us mentioned that this would have been easier if that car wasn't there. We asked everyone if that was their car, talked about it yet no owner came forward. After about the 5th time of mentioning the car, the maverick employee who was all fired up about us "hitting his pump" (again, we hit cement), he fessed up that it was his car. Oh man, both the man helping us and myself went off. We couldn't believe he had us go through all of this knowing he could help but he didn't. He then said he was calling the cops on us. Ok buster. You go ahead because my friend is already on it. The cops arrived and had a hard time understanding what happened. The first cop was on the employee's side but once he finally figured it out he agreed that it was a dick move to not move your car. Another cop came and because he was involved with horses a long time ago he understood how we got there. He immediately said that the maverick guy was a jerk. We finally decided to unhook the trailer (we didn't have a horse in it on the way back) then have several of us manually pick up the hitch and roll the trailer back and angle it by hand. That's exactly what we did. We hooked the truck back up and pulled out. The cops told Mr. Maverick that they weren't going to write a report so let it go. The cops were cool. The guy from Florida was cool. The lady watching was cool. The maverick manager (not the same one as the trip west) was definitely NOT COOL!! He needs to get some serious customer service training or management. So Michael Hernandez, I hope you sleep well at night knowing that you pretty much suck as a person and a manager.

Sure, convenience stores aren't known to be the cleanest joints around, but this one was rough. If you're here just to fill up on overpriced gas but not go inside, you might be ok. I couldn't believe how their website "allows" you to book an appointment and turns out there is no one even there to even provide you any services at ALL! I came a good way from my home and to then walk in and no one was there ?? Like talk about RIDICULOUS. I was told by the store manager that someone was suppose to update that on their website, but NO ONE did. Talk about unreliable service and poor customer service. Not pleased with this Walgreens AT ALL.

Since the gas in our vehicle was running low, Hubs decide to purchase gas from this store. When we enter this store, so call behind the counter we were greeted by a little black dog barking. Its a real dog mind you. Perhaps the dog belongs to the people who runs this store, coz while browsing around the store, one of them ask that little dog to "behave" and keep quiet. On the left wing of this Thunder River Market, is the "cashier" or the counter where you pay all yours stuffs. Next to this "counter" still on the left wing, you can opt your hot beverages, such as Tea and Coffee. There is like one or two seating areas inside this store, in case you want to drink or eat your snacks here. On the right wing, of this store, are aisle of the convenience stuffs you may need like snacks, cold drinks what nots. The people behind the counter seems to be of Hispanic descent. They stock up decent drinks, snacks, be it cold or hot ones, the normal kind of stuffs you get from a convenience store. Just take note, the washroom both for the ladies and men are situated outside this store. The ladies room are so tiny mind you. The store was kept clean. All in all an OK convenience store. @23/2012

It's a sad bit to type this review. Not a great fan of CVS in general, for reasons I'll share…read morebelow. Still, I used this pharmacy due to close location and 2 great pharmacists , 1 great assistant. Over the past 2+ years, the general state as been 2 staff on.... a few days. Most often, 1 staff member on, including weekends. ONE. One there to fill Rxs, answer phones, handle registers, accept drop off Rxs, handle faxes and communication w/mecial offices , do consults and give vacinnes. Overworked, understaffed and a situation that puts both patients & even the best pharmacists in a sketchy situation. Head pharmacists (J) also taught pharmacology at our local CMC campus. The other lead (S) , w/ about 30 yrs in the field, was just as Spot on. By that , I mean: 3 times , both have found(spotted) potential conflicts w/ Rxs that should not be used together. All 3 remembered regular clients names, remained warm, friendly & more, even when phones rang & some in line acted agitated. Tried to find any extra discount for those who had no 'special app', all with smooth & proper speed. I go 1x month. Sadly, by luck (?), I went the last day (J) would be there. Said goodbye. to me; was leaving for an idependant pharmacy. (S) chose to retire, though earlier than planned. (A) was gone, as well. Now, CVS is sending semi-substitutes from Denver ( during a major, long term shut-down of our 1-70 hwy. Spare route here adds another 4-5 hr drive). Again, I've only seen one staff member my last to trips there (semi frazzled, which make sense). Both she & he confimred the same situation. Many locals have phoned the Biggies of CVS with the concerns, to no avail. I finally wrote this review tonight after reading an article , on a vetted financial site , stating that to hire new Pharmacy personnel, CVS would be raising pay to $15.00/hour (!!) ---and Lowering education standards. How can that be safe, in any manner, in a Pharmacy setting ? Not sure where I'll go next; I'm unable to get to downtown Glenwood, per traffic. Far easier to drive 25? Miles to Rifle, rather than this CVS about 1/2 mile from my home. If you use this CVS, stay alert, check that all you Rxs are filled w/what your Dr. Rxd and not switched to another form or a generic which might not be best for you. Sad, Sad state of affairs. The following part is my personal point of view - "Greed Kills". Best wishes are sent to the 3 Special people that finally, understandably, chose to leave, and will truly be missed.

Came in for a money order. The cashier who greeted me was friendly and asked if I needed anything…read more I told her I was there for a money order. "Sure!" she said. I grabbed a snack and went to pay with my debit card for it and the money order. "Cash only," she said and pointed to the ATM. Especially during Covid I have avoided cash like the plague, but pay the ATM fee and got the cash I needed. I went to pay with cash in hand, the cashier played with the money order machine for a few seconds, and said "oh, it must be broken again sorry." And return my money. The manager came by and said, "yeah it breaks all the time." If it breaks all the time, why not test it before I shell out for an ATM fee and touch dirty cash? Wouldn't return to this location.
