The captain that did the seating grumbled while setting up our table & gave us a look like we were clueless tourists. After getting seated, one of the hosts (not a manager, mind you) made it a point to come by & subtly let us know he made us a favor even though he wasn't the one we worked with directly. When we were given the menu, the main wait person was a bit snooty and acted like we may not be able to afford some items on the menu. My friend, who was paying for the dinner, had a Crazy Rich Asian moment and ordered everything off the menu. Guess they got the hint. The manager came by to welcome us & they changed staff who were much more pleasant & easier to engage with. After the meal, the earlier experiences still left a bit of undesirable aftertaste & we decided to skip dessert. We went for gelatos in the mall instead :-) What a shame. Our hotel had a habit of liking to send us to their brother's, cousin's and sister's restaurants and always deterred us from going anywhere they didn't want us to by complaining about how far it was. On a map, Porto Rotondo said it was about 40-45 mins from Porto Cervo where we stayed but it was really a quick and beautiful 20-25 minute drive. Don't be dissuaded - it's worth the drive from anywhere in Costa Smeralda.

But the lasagna I couldn't tell if it was undercooked or overcooked but it wasn't done well. We were gonna try a dessert since we were there but we couldn't get a server to the table. We ended up just leaving and going to the front for the bill. The prices at this place are good so at least we didn't over pay to much.
