First of all it's good to know that this restaurant doesn't get busy until 10 PM or later. Their Bellini's are absolutely delicious, as they should be for €25 apiece. They're also the smallest cocktail I have ever encountered.
The menu is pretty standard and if you've ever been to a Cipriani, they're all the same. We shared the artichoke avocado salad to start, the eggplant Parmesan, a fish, and prosciutto and melon. Everything was decent but it wasn't the kind of food that you go crazy about when you're in Italy. All the bottles of wine they offer are crazy expensive and the cheapest was around €70.
The meringue cake is a must and I was happy to have a slice for dessert. The bill is where things got really shady. They charged our credit card and we got an email from Amex saying the charge went through. The restaurant claimed it did not go through and insisted upon a different different card. We ended up being charged twice and feel it was a scam. AMEX will handle it, but it's a shame that it had to be an issue in the first place. I would not return here under any circumstance. read more
