Absolutely solid Italian experience. Quick and efficient. Very small and quaint. Standouts were memorable and others were adequate. No bad bite and look forward to coming back and seeing what else they have to offer. Would recommend the eggplant and the truffle pizza. Sublime. Would skip the steak.

At the 5 p.m. open.

Now at the new location after the Palisades fire. Same cozy, authentic ambiance, same great food, same gracious service. We will return.

Stopped by their new Rose location on opening day and am genuinely excited to now have this spot in the neighborhood. Both the indoor and outdoor seating spaces are super nice. I was dining solo and ended up sitting at the counter in front of the open air kitchen. I loved watching the kitchen staff do their thing and you can tell they are very passionate about what they do. The food was excellent. I appreciated being able to order half sized pasta dishes, which allowed me to try both the clams and spaghetti along with their rapini and sausage dish. Perfectly al dente pasta with super flavorful sauces. They aren't reinventing the wheel here -- they're nailing the classics. I also highly recommend getting a croissant during their brunch hours. One of the best I've ever had. The chef and his wife are so friendly. I had stopped in a few days prior when they were setting up and they remembered my name and seem genuinely excited to be a part of the neighborhood. It's what great community restaurants are all about. Love this place and can't wait to try more of their menu.

They don't take reservations, so be prepared to wait. There's a few bars nearby if you're waiting. Once you're able to sit down, you'll find a cute wine bar with amazing food that doesn't disappoint. Don't skip the fries. They're some of the best things I've eaten. I dream about those fries. The Peruvian scallops are dreamy. Very light, very refreshing. The same can be said about the cucumber salad. The standout of the evening was by far the burger. I've been to Dudley Market a handful of times, and I'd yet to try it. I'm so glad that I did. It was probably one of the best burgers I've ever had before. I highly recommend ordering this. Overall, Dudley Market is a fantastic restaurant in Venice Beach and I hope it stays our neighborhood spot for a long time.

The restaurant is tucked away from the boardwalk but it's pretty lively inside and maybe during the warmer months they spill out into the street.

(1) SURF CLAM CEVICHE #1- the acidity and creaminess and sweetness with very fresh seafood was so high quality. Plantains had a perfect amount of salt and crunch. The thinly sliced red onion was also perfect. It was very flavorful and probably better than Holbox-- if you have been. 10/10 (2) TUNA CARPACCIO YUCA TOSTADA #2- this was the best bite overall, it is definitely small and you finish fast but the flavors were just outstanding. The tuna itself was so fresh and it had a nice acidic flavor with the perfectly crunchy tostada!! 10/10 (3) KANPACHI CEVICHE #3 - a coconut predominant flavor with a mild acidity to it. It also pairs with plantains and they were fresh and perfectly crunchy. Was weary about the corn at first but honestly couldn't taste it and it was so good! (4) AFRO-CARIBBEAN SHRIMP DUMPLINGS #4- my bf loves shrimp and said this was very tasty. I'm not the biggest fan of shrimp but thought it was very creamy, fresh, had the classic shrimpy sweetness and a coconut creamy sauce to pair with it that when used on the rice tastes like a sweet milk rice. These were cooked perfectly. (5) fried chicken #5 - solid fried chicken and good crunch to it with the chicken being very well cooked but I cant say I was blown away by it, it has good flavor when dipped in the sauce which has a nice smokiness and acidity to it that makes it really tasty. However if I came again, I probably wouldn't order again. Lastly we ordered the toffee dessert which was classic and yummy. Nice shareable size. Overall, would return 100% and bring friends from out of town. Terrific flavors and service and definitely a top LA restaurant.

When you first walk in, you will notice two things - it is very dark and it is very loud. Service was great as we were walked through the menu and got some good suggestions Smoked trout dip - Flavors were on point and perfect with the plaintain chips for dipping Kanpachi ceviche - Great combo with the red onions and not too sweet with the coconut. Corn added some great texture to the dish and could have eaten three of these Baked oysters - Perfectly cooked and so tender with a fun presentation Shrimp dumplings - Great dish but not as great as the other items as the sauce was better than the shrimp Was recommended to get the coconut rice as a side and you need to do the same as it's really good Main issue is the dishes are small (welcome to modern day tapas) and we left a bit hungry. Quick tip - maybe easier to hear sitting at the bar, but if you need good conversation it can be difficult

I got there with my mother and was greeted by a very lovely gentleman named Clark. He told us we could sit wherever so we seated ourselves in the outside area. He came over right away with the menus and asked if we had been there before to which we responded had not. He went over the menu with us and answered any questions we had regarding the menu. He was very sociable and friendly. We chatted with him and put in an order for the Kiwi Chowder. I ordered a Modelo and my mother ordered a glass of orange blend wine. He came over with the drinks a while later and the Kiwi chowder and have us plenty of time to sit and enjoy the dish before we ordered our main courses. The kiwi chowder was delicious and came with little crackers. The clams and mussels were so tasty and the Ora King Salmon was a nice treat. After a while he came back and served me the Fisherman's Mixed Basket and my mother got the Fish tacos with fish of the day for them being Sword Fish. The fisherman's basket was amazing and paired perfectly with my beer. I had never had clams, mussels, snapper, and oysters all together and they were so good I wish I could have them more frequently. The place was very cute and sat quietly with good music playing. Not current music but music that really fit the place and set the vibe. I will be coming back here and if you ever go, there is no bad choice for the fish, the service is stupendous and I haven't gotten anything like it in forever, and if you meet Clark enjoy a friendly conversation with him.

After this first experience, this place is about a solid three stars for me. I may come back again if in Santa Monica... I am still a bit under the weather and drove here because I wanted some kind of seafood soup. They offer three different kinds of soups which I appreciated! There is NE clam chowder, Manhattan clam chowder and a fish chowder. Since I dont always see fish chowder on the menu, I ordered a small bowl. I wanted a larger bowl and a place to sit down and eat it but the place was packed for lunch and I didnt feel like grabbing a spot at their bar as I needed to get back on the road, so just went with the small (and I am glad I did - read on to see why). They have a funny system here because you only order their menu items from a cashier in the back, but then take a number if you want fresh seafood. I wanted to try their Hawaiian style poke and cashier had me go and grab a number. I grabbed a number and it wasn't busy so I was served immediately. For a 1/4 lb of Hawaiian poke, it was about $9.50. Whats also strange is that I grabbed my soup (did not pay for it in the back), and my Hawaiian poke and then paid up front. Everything came close to $20. I sat in my car, (which thank goodness, this seafood market has its own parking lot, so that was greatly appreciated), and dug into my soup. Unfortunately, the soup was pretty bland and needed a bit more salt. But, I will say that the ingredients used in the fish chowder were all very fresh, and fish wasnt overcooked, but it needed to be seasoned more. Hawaiian poke was great, excellent taste. Overall, a so so experience, I would have liked better scenery to eat my food being I was very close to the beach and wished I had a more seasoned fish chowder. I could be convinced to come back and give it a second try, but I think I might prefer to visit Malibu Seafood which isnt too far from here and has great ocean views.
