Cinetig is a BAFTA award-winning film animation company based in Chapter Arts Centre, alongside a whole host of other creative tenants. They produce commercial work for a range of clients, but also receive funding to work with schools and youth groups to help young people get creative with their own film making.
Their work is interesting because it uses all sorts of techniques to create the films, including cut-out, drawn, digitally created and even sand animation.
They've been commissioned to make films and music videos for the likes of the BBC, Channel 4, S4C, HTV and the Film Agency for Wales. The other big part of Cinetig's work involves the educational projects mentioned above - working with schools, youth and community groups to help young people create their own films. Some of these have won awards, and many of them focus on the young film maker's identity, history and culture.
You can see screenings of their work on their website to get a better idea of the kind of films they create. read more
