This cinema is a whole vibe! As someone from the U.S. who's spoiled by luxury theaters, I have to say--this place totally delivered. The menu isn't massive, but it gets the job done if you've already had dinner. And their spirit-free drinks? Chef's kiss. So good. Now, here's the catch: once the movie starts, you can't order from your seat. You have to get up, go outside, order, and then they'll bring it to you. I mean, I get it--no one wants chatter mid-scene--but I like having the freedom to sneak in a snack or another drink without leaving my cozy seat. Would I come back? 100% yes. Bonus points for the bathrooms being so clean I could've done a TikTok dance in there. read more

They have 24 cinemas available and the seats are newer and more comfortable compared to other Cineplex locations. We cane here on a Tuesday night and it was only 10 of us watching the movie. The entire complex is well-maintained and clean. The staff are friendly. They have good variety of snacks that you can buy and enjoy while watching the movie. You can order food and drinks in the VIP cinemas too. There are multiple video games available for kids and adults to enjoy before the movie starts and they also have party rooms for kids birthday parties. There are multiple restaurant options in the plaza that you can enjoy a full meal before or after the movie. read more

Had a great time in the VIP section. There ample amount of parking available. Once inside there's a small arcade to enjoy as well. The vip section is completely separate from the main theather. The bathroom is clean and modern. Once inside, theres a bar & lounge area. The theatre room itself had temperature control (cold and hot) recliner seats! You must arrive earlier if you want to order food from your seat. The menu has a variety of options, Tuesday is Taco night! They bring the food, popcorn & drinks to your seat. This theatre was on a shortlist of theatres that were showing the anime movie Psycho-Pass Providence. It was only showing on the regular screens, so unfortunately there was no VIP for this (although I'm not sure if they have that at this theatre). A bunch of the doors at the entrance open up into the arcade which is a fun way to enter. It was a little busy at the concession stand, so we had some time to look around. The ceiling right above the line there has twinkly star lights. Look for the shooting stars here! The staff seemed to manage the lines well as they started opening up additional cash locations and directed people in the line to the newly opened registers. The actual theatre we were in felt a bit smaller. It was almost like it was set up to be VIP. I'm not sure if it was just because the movie that we were watching wasn't in Dolby Digital sound or whatever but I could hear and almost feel some of the more intense sound effects from the neighboring theatre rooms. The theaters themselves are quite nice. We go to VIP here often and love it. The problem is with their Starbucks coffee snack bar area. I am attaching a photo of the lattee machine which they do NOT clean after every drink is made. This is how the machine was left after they made my drink. I have seen this before here but gave them the benefit of the doubt. Has no one at this snack bar received basic cleanliness training? This is disgusting. read more

Remember the movies? I just did. I've visited this theatre a few times in the last few weeks. You can purchase tickets online in advance or at the counter - both options assigns you seats in an effort to distance from other people. The theatre was not very busy at all. The staff were friendly and quick to check vaccine passports, tickets and serve us at the snack counter. Prices for popcorn and a drink still shock me to this day but it's all about the experience, ha! The theatre itself had maybe 12 people in it and we were all spaced out accordingly. I felt comfortable enough to sit without a mask on while enjoying my buttery popcorn. One thing that was distracting was the very large cobweb that strung across the entire screen of the movie. No one else I was with noticed it, so maybe I was looking for flaws LOL. It just made me think about their cleaning plan since there is a constant flow of different people in the seats. read more

When the weather is not pleasant the walk to and from your car is very inconvenient. We always park on the Dave and Buster side because we watch the movies in the VIP section. This is the closest side to the VIP. I really like the VIP experience here because of the seating features. Controlled heated seats. You can adjust how far back you want to lean/lie down. I think it's about 45 degrees. There's an adjustable elevation for the foot rest! This is the deal breaker for me! Tip: you can order your food on the app prior to arrival if you already bought your tickets. When you get there you check in so they are notified of your arrival and bring your food out fresh. read more

Has to be one of the largest theatres in the GTA with somewhere near 25 screens. That includes their VIP area, as well as other screens such as AVX and even some 4D screen. I went to one of the 'basic' screens which was fine with me and can at least say that the seats are probably more comfortable than comparable places. I'm a bit curious about the quality of their VIP seats. I was very disappointed in the other Oakville location for not measuring up to some Toronto locations, but perhaps this one is different. It is true that parking is a bit of a pain here as it's shared with a bunch of other popular businesses. I thought it was a bit odd that they only had one person checking tickets which everyone had to pass through before entering the main lobby area - especially for such a large theatre. It meant adding another line on top of having to wait to buy tickets and then to the concession. But ultimately, it's a newish theatre - or at least renovated, and since it has so many screens, they seem to offer more selection than most other theatres. read more

The theatre here is located at a complex with a dessert restaurant, night club of some sort and a few other establishments. The parking is kinda weird since we had to walk around the back to get to the front entrance. When entering there's an arcade to the right. To the left is the ticketing office. Once tickets are scanned there's the concession stand right in front. The theatre that we were in wasn't that big but big enough to seat everyone comfortably. It's nice that when people want to get by you there's enough room so that you don't have to stand up or get squished. read more

12/31/2019 The movie theatre is just like any other Cineplex theatre. I went here during a Tuesday because of the Tuesday discount. The service is good, the place is decently clean and they seem to have a large selection of movies you can choose from. The location of this place is pretty great - there is a large selection of restaurants, dessert places and other entertainment venues nearby. There is a lot of parking space. The seats itself was basic enough- nothing fancy but no squeaky or loose chairs. read more

I went there a few times to watch many movies. It is beside/nearby many restaurants, a hotel and a IFly place. It is very big compared to the Cineplex near Square One. They give you food and empty cups at the concession stands since you can choice what kind of drink you want (ex. Strawberry Sprite, normal Sprite, Coca Cola, Diet Coca Cola, etc.). Also, it seems like there are a lot of movie variety to choose from since it is a very big movie theater. read more

This is one massive Cineplex with close to 30 auditoriums for movies and one heck of a parking that fills up 360 degrees around the auditorium. Located in Winston Churchill area, this Cineplex is where the famous iFly location is (this is easily visible when you are driving on the 401 back to Toronto from the West end). The entrance is difficult to find, because this area of fun is made into it's own little village. However, we were able to find the entrance by following folks entering the cinema as well. Once we entered, the Xscape was located right up front. There were quite a few people playing here, despite the Dave and Busters location being next door. Since it was a long weekend, the lineups were MASSIVE. Literally, it was close to being out the door, but this was also because people didn't use the round-about lines properly. If a Cineplex staff came to regulate this, it might have been better. In addition, there were stations were you can purchase tickets from a KIOSK machine. The line for this was confusing as well, it seemed that people can just go to it even if they just entered and didn't actually need to line up for this. The ticket entry point was VERY clear though, and blocked off quite well with two attendants at the door. Once inside the movie theatre, there was a lot more space and signs were labelled very clearly where all of the auditoriums were. Purchasing food was fairly easy as well, and it was quite clean in this theatre as well. BONUS: I think you can also order alcohol in this movie theatre as well, I saw signs for alcohol options, but I'm not sure how it works! read more

We have been here hundreds of times. Came to see Star Wats in AVX and showed up 1.5 hours early to buy tickets with vouchers I had purchased from Costco (unfortunately you cannot purchase online with these vouchers. By the time we went in, 10 min before the movie started, the theatre was filthy. Garbage under the seats, and messy in general. I pointed this out to a staff member and she said they did a quick clean between shows. I told her I could show her all the garbage and she offered to get a manager for me. I spoke to a supervisor and eventually a manager. She assured me this was not the standard for the theatre but the night crew did not fully clean and then it just snowballed between showings. I expressed my disappointment after spending so much money to come with the family to see the movie. The manager offered a refund if we wanted to leave but my family wanted to watch the movie, especially after waiting 1.5 hours for our show time. In lieu she offered us vouchers to see another movie on another date and assured me this was not a regular occurrence. She handled the situation well and we will give them another chance and hope for a cleaner environment. At least the washrooms were clean! read more

Always clean, friendly staff. Concession line ups are not usually too bad. Sometimes the ticket machines break, which sucks but otherwise the main services and amenities are good. The actual theaters are clean and well kept. The seats are comfortable. 3D experience is always good. There are always tons of glasses available and in good condition. I saw Wonder Woman and bought my tickets online. It was really nice to have assigned seating so I didn't have to worry about getting there early to get good seats. For the first time I sat in the seats that move. It was a lot of fun for the kids to move and shake in the chair. It was a little much for me so I turned mine off. You can control the amount of movement or you can turn it off totally. It adds to the experience and the seats themselves are comfy and have more leg room. I forget what they are called. I think maybe DBox. There are lots of good options and some games. The washrooms are big and clean. No waiting in line to use the washroom. A great movie experience. read more

Don't drive around looking for parking by the entrance since all the parking spots are to the sides and rear.That's a lesson I learned the hard way when I barely made my movie thanks to being the optimistic parking spot finder. This is your typical 'burban set up when it comes to theatres, but I give this place 4 vs 3 stars because it plays a lot more smaller/indie movies and docs than any other theatre I've checked out. So it scores very favorably on my scale! Other than the movie selection, nothing else really sets this place apart, they do have an AVX, it's clean and staff are good. But it would be nice if it did have a bit more options when it comes to concessions. read more

AMC no more - this theatre is now a Cineplex. This is still the AMC theatre you're used to, but with new signage and flavour for your popcorn (thank you Cineplex!). There is also a new AVX theatre, which has plenty of pre assigned seating. Some tips about this theatre: - Try and remember where you parked, because there are plenty of exits to the theatre and you can choose the one closest to your car! - When you're waiting to buy your concessions, look up! We love this theatre and try to always go here if there is a choice. We get there early so we can get the seats above the entrances so no one will will be sitting in front of us. Matinees are the best... especially if you go to see a movie that has already been out for 2 weeks... nice and quiet. Love it. The last movie we saw was It and it was fantastic. read more

This use to be our fav theatre to come to, it avoided all the mall traffic of square one and the bad parking situation of Courtney Park. Well no more! Dave and Busters opened in the complex and it takes 20 minutes and stalking people to get a spot, the stress alone of trying to park here now makes the movie going experience awful. It is somehow busier in the theatre now as well, movies that aren't new releases sold out an hour before showtime?! I think we will start having to go to Rathburn or the VIP Burloak location, at least there is a great sushi place across the street there. read more

It is very crowded and they manage the crowds poorly. The parking lot is terrible. Plan for an extra 20 minutes to mark on holidays, weekends, Friday nights. Or go elsewhere. Also if you aren't a fan of lots of kids this place is packed with kids. read more

Big theater with lots of screens. Huge parking lot. Lots of different restaurants surrounding the theater. Tickets can be purchased at one of the many kiosks or by a real person. Concession line moves fast and like all theaters is ridiculously expensive. The seats were comfy in the theater we sat in. Not those big reclining chairs just the standard kind. Oh me oh my, this was the first time I had stepped foot in the newly designed cineplex in 9 years. I used to live in the area in my teen years and would frequent AMC every weekend... Then cineplex came along with their flashy scene points, free movies bonanza that lures me away! Good job cineplex!! On to the review! This is a big theatre, one of the bigger, set up similar to the queensway location. I was surprised by the small amount of cash lines if you were to buy your tickets at the theatre itself, but there were plenty of kiosks as well, however naturally the first one we went to doesn't work. The games area is super tiny just to the right of the front doors, which surprised me. The concessions area is big with lot's of ordering space, and with self serve drink kiosks, but like other posters said, cineplex has the gaul to have a huge sign... No refills! Cheap cineplex.. Tisk tisk Once you actually go into the theatre area you'll see that it looks EXACTLY the way it did when AMC ran this theatre. Same decor, same velvet cushion seats, same screens (ours had a noticeable tear). You'd think Cineplex would have gutted this place to make it look like all the other cineplex's around but it's just not the case here. It honestly looks like cineplex cut and pasted their logos on an already existing theatre. Hey whatever saves money right.... Parking is behind the theatre, and quick to walk to. Personally I probably won't be back, I much prefer the Queensway Cineplex. 2.5/5 read more

Theater may be nice but service is definitely not. The OUTTAKES manager is incompetent and condescending. The employees are incompetent. Made me wait 20 minutes for my order, almost late for my movie and they get my burger wrong. No apologies made nor compensation offered. Just got treated like a child with a pat down on the hand my the manager..condescending jerk.... Had to go to another manager to get any compensation. After the movie, waited til the end of the credits to leave....given obnoxious clapping my rude employees obviously making fun of us for staying long.... This place used to be AMC and I would love it as they had a special of $6 on the weekends if you came before 12 pm! Well it has changed since then as Cineplex has monopolized Canada and bought out pretty much all competition. The theater are still the same and you can use you SCENE card now, plus they have taken the names on outside the screens of all the theaters to avoid people from jumping from movies to movies. There are 2 wings to this theatre and the snack shop is in the middle. The place is quite busy on the weekend as the plaza is home to many food joints. There is plenty of parking available on this location and it is also close to highway 403 in Oakville. read more

Had a pretty good experience here. It's located in a plaza with plenty of food options (sushi, thai, dessert, italian) so you can enjoy a nice dinner before/after the movie. I've only been here a couple of times, but the lines for tickets have never been excessively long, unlike other Cineplex locations. I don't know if other locations have this, but this one has "reserved dbox seating", which are pricier tickets you can buy to sit in optimal viewing seats (rows 5-7ish from the top). Not sure they're worth it though, as I could see the screen perfectly fine from my peasant seat elsewhere. Also, if those seats don't get filled up, anyone can take them, regardless of which ticket you bought. I went yesterday with a friend to watch MI5 and partway through the film, I started getting really warm and a little sweaty. I was thinking to myself, "damn, I know Simon Pegg is really attractive when he goes all 'undercover spy', but I didn't realize I was THIS into him". Turns out the AC in our auditorium wasn't working. Everyone ended up getting free movie tickets because of this snafu, which was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. 10/10 would go back and sabotage the AC. read more

Come to this theatre pretty frequently and spend 100.00's of dollars for my family to see a movie and eat some snacks . Management needs some training however on how to speak politely and respectfully to customers ( Darlene) . When I asked to use the drink machine so my son could take some pills she declined and told me to go to the bathroom for water. She clearly had a bad night as her tone, attitude and response were unnecessarily rude (or as I said needs some customer service training). I would have gladly purchased an additional drink ( I bought 6 drinks tonight) but apparently that wasn't an option . It is so frustrating when someone, especially a manager, can so easily solve a simple problem but instead becomes the bigger problem and makes you feel like you never want to go back to the establishment again. read more

So I went to the movies last night and decided to drive to this theater instead of Queensway VIP where we normally go. Mistake for sure It was a Saturday evening movie started at 8 theater 21..yes they have 25 theaters here that's how big the place is. So we bought our tickets first stop is the bathroom, the bathrooms are really nice as the theater is fairly new. Although the bathrooms are nice they are extremely dirty. Toilet paper everywhere, left over human waste in the toilets, water all over the counters, etc. My bf came out and mentioned how gross the mens bathrooms were as well. After that we went to the concessions to buy food, popcorn is pre made in large batches which is weird cause on a busy Saturday night you'd think they would make fresh popcorn constantly. Nope chewy old popcorn is what we received, but the cashier was a nice teenager didn't seem happy but she wasn't rude or anything. This location also has the coca cola machines where you pour your own drinks w hundreds of options. the table for you to put your stuff on while you pour your drink was all wet w pop and straw wrappers/napkins and stuff. the pop spilled on the counter was all wet and sticky some was stained w means they obviously don't clean it too often. I mean there was even fruit flies , such a turn off. Finally we find our theater and the previews are nearly the end but the place is full of kids or teens whatever they are still talking and using their phones. Even during the movie this continued . They had their feet on the seats in front of them passing food back and forth jumping up n down on the chairs and being overly obnoxious laughing and making so much noise. I was so not impressed. I mean there had to be like 20 of them in each group. I mean I know its not the fault of the Cineplex but from what other people said this is a regular thing. so ye i wont be returning again. Its located in a huge entertainments plaza w restaurants, Dave & busters, mini putt and more. lots of parking but also extremely busy so you will have to drive around a bit if you aren't early. read more

I organized a surprise video gaming party for my husband's birthday and Dave (theater manager) was so helpful and responsive throughout the whole planning process. I had left a voicemail for weeks with no response but when Dave called me back, not only was he apologetic, he answered all my questions clearly and concisely. He made himself available the day of from equipment setup to helping me with the surprise. The theater had 2 power outages and he gave us courtesy passes even though not much game time lost. The customer service I received was superb and I would definitely come back and I highly recommend hosting a party here. read more

This location has a ton of restaurants and bars surrounding it, so it's super convenient to do dinner and a movie or drinks. I like that there aren't a ton of kids so the arcade area isn't loud. The parking is quite far though as you have to park and walk through the restaurants to get to the theatres. Not too ideal in the winter. read more

This location has large theatres and is a bit more expensive than other Cineplex I've been to. There is lot's of parking around since there are a bunch of other restaurants around as well. This is my go-to theatre when in Oakville, and I've never really had a bad experience here. read more

Been going to this theatre right when it opened back in '98 when it was an AMC Theatre. Now it's a Cineplex and I still am a fan of this specific movie complex because the service is still good and the renovations were seamless. A huge movie complex housing 24 auditoriums (10 on each side) and 4 main auditoriums right at the entrance for larger movie releases with one being an IMAX screen and another an AVX screen (Cineplex' version of an IMAX). Pretty quiet on weekdays and extremely busy on weekends and holidays (ex. Christmas). Lots of auditoriums mean lots of showtimes to work with. I also like that they show smaller independent films so trekking to Toronto doesn't need to happen. Please keep showing independent films - this location has an audience for that. I do wish that all theatres had this but it would be nice if they had an express line where people can go to refill their popcorn/drinks instead of waiting in the concession line with parents who can't control their kids or teenagers who are busy taking selfies or people who do not know what to order even when they've been standing in line for 10 minutes. My girlfriend and I saw Inside Out last night (which was awesome and highly recommended) and after the movie there was the Q&A with the director. As a result, they never showed the credits. For all those who have seen pixar movies, you know that there are normally some cool scenes during the credits. We were dissapointed but were told that the credits would play after the Q&A. So, after it was done, we stuck around for close to 10min but nothing. I went and found some people who work there to get it sorted out but none of them knew anything about it. One of them did get the manager for me who nicely came out and then was very rude. He told me "You want to see the credits!?" as if no one want to see them. But then he went on to tell me that they weren't showing the credits for the movie. After this, however, we walked past the theater again and found that the credits had been on the entire time I was speaking to him. LIAR!!! and we missed all of them :( read more
