That's why I was so sad when they closed for renovations a couple of years ago. I thought it would never be like this again, but to be honest now it is even cooler! The quality of the screens improved a lot and you get that over all impression that everything is just newer and from better quality but it still didn't lose his old charm!

BUT... it is very small, the seats are not really comfortable, no holders for drinks or hand bags, it gets quite stuffy at the end of the show.. AND what I really found not-up-to-date and annoying: even if you buy tickets in advance, you have to come at least a half an hour earlier to queue in an impatient mass of people, waiting for the former show to end, the former audience to come out (there is no separate exit!) and then RUN and FIGHT for good seats as Kant Kino in 2015 still hasn't managed to organize a ticket/selling system combined with seats reservation. I guess the cinemas of Yorck Group generally don"t sell seats reservations, but somehow it all works better in other locations. To sum up - I'm sorry to say that but I guess I will try to avoid Kant Kino in the future - not due to its program but due to its bad logistic conditions.

The waiting area has amazing chandelirs and just brings you back into a different era. The reason why I am only giving 3 points is, because the bathrooms are simply disguisting, they are old and smell, so try not to use the bathroom here. Secondly, the entire theater is pretty dusty and since I am allergic to dust it is a problem for me. The interior of the theater is really nice though.

Concession stands are pricey and the tickets are also pricey, in my opinion. The Kino I was in was not well-cleaned when I sat down, but the chair was comfortable, and I thought it was cool that ice cream is sold inside the actual theatre. I was annoyed by other international viewers because they just would not shut the hell up during the movie. I am not sure if it is always like that, since it was my first time watching a movie outside the States, but foreigners can be very annoying in the audience.

Although small, it manages to retain a certain element of charm and is well loved by the locals. More oldie worldy. The seating is well spaced and comfortable. It has a good range of drinks and light snacks which are reasonably priced. It only has one screen so it is advisable to call ahead to find out what is screening.
