It was spur of the moment and I Goog led to find a winery in the area. I called one and they had no time / room for a tasting. Then I found Porto Di Mola and called. The gentleman that answered was effusive and bubbly and conveyed in his best English to "Come on in!". It took us a while to find it and that was half the fun - at one point a person's driveway doubled as the connection from one road to another! When we arrived we were greeted warmly and with a tray of sliced meats, cheeses, and dried fruits! Oh my goodness!! The gentleman then went on to sample about 6 wines, white and red, which were all fun to taste and learn about. We had a mixed case sent home (to a friend in Indiana since Kentucky doesn't allow shipments of alcohol) and took a mixed case with us. I will definitely return to this winery should I ever find myself in Italy!
