Had such a disappointing experience with this company! The actual photographer assigned seemed to lack experience. My cell phone takes far better pictures of my daughter on that day or any other given day. A series of photos that were my favorite portion from the session were completely omitted. My daughter is very inquisitive so there were a few times she showed us what was on the camera and they were so much better than the handful they showed me. They overcharged for EVERYTHING and there were so many hidden costs. read more

I love this place. Ever since I met my photographer, Gretchen, at a bridal fair, I knew they were "the one." Everyone who works at Cilento has been very personable and professional. They are not cheap, but you get great quality. We had a blast with Gretchen and Tracy on our wedding day. We just saw a preview of our photos and were wowed by them. We cannot wait to see the rest. Terrible customer service. I bought a Groupon for a Star Wars photo shoot. The Groupon included 1 8x10. I liked the photos taken so I spent over $400 on a package. I got home and decided I needed more prints and went back a few weeks later in June and spent $300 to upgrade to get more photos. The full delivery of this order still Hasn't happened 7 weeks later!! First they lost my order and then finally at the end of July they shipped part of it to me after I had called 3 times asking about it. However it was missing a poster print I had ordered. I called two more times before they shipped the poster and then they shipped the wrong print! I just called today, now Mid August and they are reordering the poster again and only offered to credit me $50 for my troubles. I'm stunned they aren't bending over backwards to make this up to me after its taken 2 months and I still don't have my complete order. Guess they don't want to keep customers who spend $700+ on photo packages! read more

I haven't been to a studio like this! When u walk in the studio its amazing hard wood floors amazing pictures in the wall. The camera room is really neat all the lights move around in tracks the photographer is amazing was soo good witht my daughter!! They got amazing pictures!! Unlike the other yelp user who first reviewed (I'm pretty sure some people will complain about anything and everything to get something for free), I have had nothing but amazing experiences with the staff and the quality of photography and service from the Cilento studio in Deerfield. My most recent visit had us there to photograph my baby girl's 3 month pictures. We had Deanna as our photographer this time, but we have had experiences with Sam and others as well. Deanna went out of her way to create an experience that we will remember always! I didn't expect much (from my daughter) and my expectations were blown out of the water. These were some of the best images I've seen. We live out of town and specifically drove to Deerfield for our portraits. Therefore, they had to ship the pictures to us. We still got them in about the same amount of time as if we were picking then up. And the quality was great! Now to buy frames and display them!! I have been to a lot of studios over the years with my family. Cilento is by far the best experience, best portraits, and best prints we have ever gotten. We will be back for 6 month portraits for sure! read more

I had my son's pictures taken here and I can't say how impressed I was!!! They came out amazing our photographer was great she got him to relax and open up. She got authentic smiles!! The pictures were retouched up and the quality was better than ive ever seen!!! Cilento is awesome!! read more

This studio is great! I love the atmosphere, and the staff is extremely delightful. Upon entering I was greeted by name, and was pleasantly surprised how they already knew about the type of session I wanted going into the session. My session was fantastic and I felt so comfortable working with the photographers. When I came back to see the images, I was blown away! I couldn't believe it. They exceeded my expectations and you definitely get what you pay for. One of the best studios around and I will definitely be returning and recommending! read more

I would like to start off by saying that our first experience with Cilento (when they were Flash at Northbrook Court) was a great experience. We chose the deluxe package and they paired us with Deanna, a very skilled photographer back in 2011. The hour long package called for the photographer with an assistant. The shoot went smoothly and the photographs of our little girl were lovely. So when we decided to use them again for our little boy in November of 2012 we didn't hesitate. Around the time we went they were undergoing the change from Flash to Cilento and to another location. Our shoots were one of the very last at the Northbrook Court location. We chose the deluxe package again but this time there was just one photographer who was not experienced AT ALL. She had no idea how to work the lighting and she was not very baby friendly. She did not use her time wisely and spent more than 30 minutes on just one pose leaving very little time for the other 2 poses i requested. I didn't make a big deal of it at first since I gave her the benefit of the doubt. I waited a week to see the final photographs. They were TERRIBLE. My baby's skin looked dark and flawed (due to horrible lighting technique). The angles were all off and little could be salvaged even from editing. I was mortified at how bad of a job was done. They must have realized themselves the poor quality of the work done so they offered a re-shoot at the new location. Well, the "re-shoot" was only 30 minutes and there was still just one photographer. Fortunately, they decided to put me with Deanna, the manager. She did a good job but she did not fulfill her promise of a re-shoot. There were just half the amount of images produced since we did not have the full hour. I didn't want to ruin the whole experience so I let it go and purchased a photo package despite my reservations. Fast forward a couple months later and I want to re-order a print and I could not believe the run around I was getting. The first time I call they say it would take less than a week to order my print. The second time I call they say it will take more than a week. I decide to order anyway since I had a coupon. Well, the next day I call to see if I can change the photo and they were far from helpful. The girl said the photo had already been printed...even though i JUST placed the order 1 day before. And seeing how they said it would take more than a week to process I was skeptical they could not do anything to change the order. The people working at Cilento do not work to please the customer. They do not like to accept responsibility for their actions and I will never be returning to them again which is unfortunate since we would have been loyal customers. read more

Couldn't even get past the initial phone call to schedule an appt. I always went to Cilento when it was Flash Portraits. I have called Deerfield twice now with the same experience. Snotty arrogant 'woman' answers the phone and corrects you when you ask to schedule an infant photography sitting to a 'session'. Then wants you to tell her how long you would like the session? Then after a long hold says they are just so booked. Hung up. Both times. Plenty of other photographers that would love our business. Goodbye Cilento! It doesn't matter how great you are if you can't get an appt! read more

I used Cilento Photography in Deerfield (Northbrook Court) to shoot my wedding. Everything about them from the initial meeting to the last picture they took at my wedding was AMAZING!!!! When you are planning a wedding, every detail is stressful and you are putting your faith in these professionals to do a good job. I had a good DJ, a great wedding venue, but I had AMAZING photographers. Everytime I had a crisis or something weird happen, not photography related, they were there to help. I forgot all of the special pictures I wanted to take because I was so busy running around, but they sure remembered. They held my purse when I need it, even got me a drink with out me asking. I had Samantha from this Deerfield office and Sam, if you ever read this my dear, you are fabulous! Matt from Racine or Kenosha I think, you are wonderful too! I had some professional photos taken for my small business. I purchased the 3-photo CD. The session was handled very well; Gretchen was very knowledgeable and professional. The photos were fantastic! I had trouble choosing the shots because there were so many good choices. The entire process took about 75 minutes from when I walked in the door to when I left with my CD. I have used Cilento in Deerfield twice. The photos I have received are absolutely BEAUTIFUL (this is the understatement of the year..they are beyond beautiful). I cannot say enough about the studio and their work. They take the time to get everything just right and are WONDERFUL with kids!
