My husband and I felt very comfortable and welcomed by the local " regulars". Circuit is a space that promotes sustainability through art so whenever they sponsor community gatherings, you will find no paper plates or plastic forks! They have a water cooler and actual glasses for guests to use. They recycle and use composting trash bags, too. The decor is eclectic, light and bright with a very chill vibe. Placed in the heart of Istanbul's European side, it is located between on top of Bebek with a spectacular view over the city and Bosphorus, surrounded by a rare green nature. The gym itself is quite big, which leaves plenty of room for everyone to gym at peace without bumping into each other and not having to que by machines at its busiest hours. All the equipment is brand new by Life Fitness and it doesn't leave any special desires out. There are plenty of studios with one for Pilates, one for Squash, one for skipping and the others for normal classes. There is also always a wide variety on classes from Bootcamps, to HIIT, Crunch Classes and Yoga. There is also an inside basketball area, an outside swimming pool and tennis courts. All of the staff is well-trained and knowledgeable and they take very good care of their clients. There is also a smoothie bar for snacking inbetween sessions or of course the added bonus of the Restaurant Backyard, which attracts members to dine afterwards or outside crowds as well. The changing rooms are always clean, with plenty of towels and fully sponsored by Dove at the moment (though it was Nivea before). So if you forget your shower gel, shampoo, cream OR deodorant - don't worry! - the place has you covered! ;) I realize the amount payed for membership is quite a pain, but at least it is worth the pain. If you want a luxe Fitness Place where you can relax from the troubles of this noisy and sometimes chaotic city - this is your place for detox!

Beautiful, airy and sunny yoga studio located in the Moda neighborhood of Istanbul's Asian side. I…read moretook two drop in yoga classes (35 TL each) and found the studio to be clean, luxurious, and peaceful. The studio space is large but doesn't leave feeling like you're miles away from the instructor. It's surrounded on two sides by giant windows which open out onto a quiet, tree-lined street. The classes themselves were level appropriate and on-par with classes I've taken in New York at franchise yoga companies. The instructors spoke enough English to give me direction and corrections despite teaching the class in Turkish. If you're an advanced practitioner and can follow without having to have the poses explained to you, definitely give Nefess a try. Yoga in another language is an adventure! And the Ashtanga class led by Bilge was almost 2 hours and very challenging. She offered hands on corrections for the majority of class (which I appreciate). The bathrooms were super clean, the lobby area is comfortable and has complimentary tea and water available. Mats are provided for free and are very high quality, grippy thick mats unlike the standard yoga mats that peel and get chewed up with time. There are proprietary cushions, straps, blocks, and even lavender eye pillows for use. The two classes I took were small 5-10 people and I enjoyed them even more than some of the classes I've taken in NYC at brand name places.

They have a change room, two practice rooms, as well as a small kitchen where water is always available in pitchers. They also have a small section of items for sale (malas, bracelets etc). They have a regular schedule as well. It's quite a nice studio - one of the very few yoga studios in Istanbul!
