Nik, our project manager, took extra steps to address issues with our building, including a long delay caused by leaks in the gas line that Con-Ed had to approve. I have worked with Gaudioso Contracting on several successful projects. One of the first jobs we worked on together was when Anthony Gaudioso's team rebuilt the street facade of a row house in BedStuy, Brooklyn, for me. His guys first got to the bottom of what had been done incorrectly by the previous cheapo contractor. They started by removing the other guys' mistakes. Anthony's guys then rebuilt the 3-storey street facade and stoop, created a fanlight over the entry door, ran appropriate wiring for new sconces that would flank the parlor-level entry way and illuminate the garden level entrance. They made sure to waterproof it all thoroughly. When the exterior was watertight, they then repaired the fairly extensive inside water damage. The finish facade, which had been approved by public hearing before the Landmarks Preservation Commission, was going to be a faux-brownstone stucco. When the client had purchased the row house, the street facade was covered in a multicolored, faux flagstone slathered on top of the wood building structure. The new finish facade required a new application of stucco as a faux-brownstone. Gaudioso Contracting provided several different color samples of the stucco finish (matched to other brownstones on the block), and as well as, color samples of alternative window colors, and entry door colors, for the Landmarks inspector's approval. As part of the stucco application process, they built up the elegant window and entry door surround details to satisfy the Landmarks Preservation Commission's inspector. They also brought in Adler Windows to replace all the water-damaged, crumbling, wooden double-hung windows with new thermal paned, powder coated, aluminum windows with appropriate brick molding to satisfy the Landmarks inspector. Gaudioso Contracting also built, painted and installed a replica of the neighboring brownstone's cornice which Landmarks approved. Their work was terrific. Each phase of the work moved smoothly and had expertly skilled craftsmen who specialized in the particular aspect of the job in hand at the time. They were on time and on budget. I was delighted with their reliability, responsiveness and professionalism.

They keep our residence looking beautiful and safe and I'm so glad to have their services. I'm writing this review after a specific event: my boyfriend lost his wallet after it was left on top of a car roof somewhere in the street. We didn't realize what had happened until after a snow storm and by then we had no hope of finding it. We were resigned to beginning the process of replacing all of his documents and cancelling his accounts, but the next day we received a call from the Doyle Brothers contractors saying they'd found the wallet! What's more, they went out of their way to have someone bring it to our address and return it by hand. The man who returned it and refused any monetary reward exemplifies what everyone is looking for in a landscaping and construction company: integrity while going above and beyond. I cannot rave enough about such a fantastic representation of their services and strongly recommend the beautiful and efficient work they provide.

After finding out we currently only have a small project, Darlene never once got up or even fully turned her body away from the computer. Our master shower floor needs to be replaced. Darlene kept trying to dissuade us from any projects, first siting the cost. We explained while we didn't want to necessarily embark on a project at the moment, it wasn't something we could ignore. She then said it would be impossible for us to get a contractor; we already have one. Then she told us we were essentially wasting our time if we didn't have a piece of the wall tiling to bring in for comparison. She did start to become slightly more helpful as we were asking about the different options in material, but still we couldn't shake the feeling she was being dismissive of us. My husband and I are young and definitely new to this process but we are blessed to both be doctors and have the resources to update all our bathrooms, however due to this unpleasant experience we won't be spending any money at this store.

We just took one of the vanity drawers to Darlene and asked her to help with the bathroom and shower design. She patiently suggested options and went back and forth with multiple ideas. Also provided us guidance on what wall color would go best with her suggested tiling design. The result turned out to be fabulous. Would go back to her in a heartbeat for our next tiling project. Very creative, helpful, flexible and really friendly. Pictures speak for themselves!
