I reached out to Matt Burns in the early summer of 2020 for an estimate to replace the clearly…read morefailing railroad tie retaining wall in my back yard. Matt's was one of several estimates I sought, and pricing was all over the place. Matt's bid was competitive and fair, and he demonstrated a depth of knowledge and familiarity that made me immediately comfortable hiring him. Due to scheduling conflicts with another contractor installing a deck for me, I threw Matt a few curveballs. At least twice I had to ask him to move his start date, and when his team did arrive, the deck contractors were totally in his way. Throughout, Matt was patient and focused on his work. The guys he brought with him worked tirelessly over four days to excavate, remove old materials, prepare proper drainage missing from the old wall, rebuild the wall with new EP Henry pavers and regrade the area around the new wall - as well as around my driveway. Matt and his crew went above and beyond, doing extra regrading work not included in his estimate at no additional charge. And they cleaned up the work area at the end of the job beautifully. The wall looks so good that the old, shabby brick pavers by my pool now look sad by comparison. I'll be asking Matt Burns to come back to address that issue, and others, in the future. Hire Matt with confidence. You'll be glad you did. And if you have questions or want more details just message me. I'm happy to offer my strong recommendation of Matt and his team.

Long story short - I was conned by a Family member claiming to be part of the business/represented they owned the business, however it was NOT Richard or his Father - who when I finally found out and got a hold of the real owners - they fixed the situation and made everything right. These guys are good people, made good on a word that they didn't even provide and in my eyes are a great example of doing right by the customer. On site, Luis and crew had our old steps dismantled and removed in less than a day; the replacement steps took only a few more days to build. They perfectly matched the schist stone of my home's foundation for the risers and when a few of my side path flagstones got cracked in the process of moving, they were replaced with new matching pieces. The team cleaned up each day and power washed after the job was complete. The best part? The fair price, which was less than others who wanted to stucco the risers or only wanted to work with brick.
