We recently stayed at Domaine Les Crayères in Reims and had an impeccable stay. Not only is the property located in a convenient place, the grounds of the property themselves are nothing short of exquisite. Upon arrival we were greeted by the valet who kindly took our bags straight away to our room, which was not yet ready, as we were a little early, but no matter as we enjoyed a glass of champagne in the Le Parc restaurant as we planned out the next hour or so of our day. After driving around in the countryside and purchasing a few bottles of champagne we made our way back and were so pleasantly surprised with the exception quality and fine details of our room. Truly this is one of the few properties we've stayed at that did everything right from the small touches in the room like a gigantic chocolate Easter egg and Guerlain toiletries to the functional space with multiple TVs (not that we used them much) and fantastic shower. We did not have time to book the on-site restaurant, Le Parc, but from what we have heard and based off our experience at the brasserie, Le Jardin, we would highly recommend booking dinner there - you will enjoy it. Take your time. Soak up the atmosphere, and dress with a purpose! We have stayed at some of the nicer hotels in the world. Silica, Park Hyatt Kyoto, and other chateau's and estates, and Domaine Les Crayères was as good as anywhere we have stayed. As a tip, the entry to the property is a little weird if you don't know what you're looking for. Depending on the direction you are coming from, likely Paris, you'll want to turn left at the small left turn lane which is in front of the property and then immediately turn left onto what feels like a sidewalk or somewhere you're not supposed to drive onto. You're in the right spot! Pull the car up and the valet will take over from there. Enjoy Reims!

However, clearly their concern was money. If they refunded us, they would be hard pressed to fill the room. I have had better service, and more comfortable accommodations at a Holiday Inn Express. A Five Star hotel's HVAC system's individual temp controls in the rooms should go without saying. We are very well traveled. We have never experienced anything like this, EVER.

Staff are so helpful and all speak English, it's difficult to practice my French as they tend to respond in English. So much fun and such friendly folks!

The Continental is a great base for exploring Reims. You can easily walk around the city, catch a tram from a couple of nearby stops, or enjoy the food/sights in the immediate area. The room itself was cozy, not too small, and everything appeared clean and in functioning order. It wasn't a luxury experience, but it felt like the right quality for the price. The staff were very nice and spoke English. They held our luggage both before check-in and after check-out. They also offered us a glass of champagne each if we opted out of cleaning/maid service for our room. Since we were only staying two nights, we happily took the offer. Overall, it was a nice experience, and I'd stay again if I were in Reims.

The breakfast buffet is average, they put old stinky ham and salmon 3 days in a row. Couldn't produce a decent omelet and there was not 1 green fresh vegetable in sight. Only grilled tomatoes and mushrooms. Asked for spinach for my omelet and they said they had none. Service was also average when you compare to other Autograph Collection Hotels. If you bring a car make sure you call because the Valet has to come get you. You cannot drive in front, they do it. Would love to come back, hope they can make the necessary changes.

This hotel got us out of the main drag (very advisable) but was still within an easy walk of all the main attractions Easy to book on phone; confirmatory email came immediately plus another so you could check in online if you wished The room was a superior double - its about right size-wise. You have a free bottle of water The reception desk was excellent every day - helpful, cheery, friendly The car park isn't bookable but we were able to park underground there - and the lift accesses the car park too which is really useful; it is only 12:50€ pd which is good news. Decent free breakfast. Everyone speaks english. The only issue is that you are about 5 blocks from the main pedestrian area - I don't mind the walk as it's a fine area. Also some rooms face the back and every now and then a stupid large truck would bang around early in the morning.

The rooms are old looking and have a smell to them, need to be updated. Our AC didn't work…read moreproperly, the fridge didn't work at all and the TV remote worked sometimes. The couch beds were also pretty uncomfortable. We ate at the restaurant that is connected and one of the waiters had a terrible attitude. The menu was also only in French so we had to ask someone to translate it for us. They have a rule where after 11pm you can only enter/leave out the front door by the reception that is a ridiculous rule. We had a room at the back of the hotel so we parked our car near the room so we could offload the bags easier. But because of the rule we had to walk all the way to the front of the building and then walk all the way to the back again. The rule is stupid because to use the doors you have to use your key so it's not like it's open to the general public. Also you have to use your key to get out of the building which is also a stupid system.

They had a workout room, something not all hotels in France have. A sauna, swimming pool, sun deck & great restaurants. The continental breakfast was included every morning with probably the BEST scrambled eggs with extra butter ever! Only to be accompanied by cute little French country sausages. There are a lot of restaurants just one block away from the city square! And it's quiet here; something that larger French cities don't offer. I'd stay here again.

The rooms were a good size for Europe, and the showers were also pretty big. The showers were raised and slanted a little so the water drained down rather than going outside of your shower like you typically see in most European hotels. There's also a good hairdryer in the hotel, a mini fridge, and an iron. They offer breakfast, but it was expensive for what they offer: scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage with a variety of baked goods. There are who many bakeries nearby, one even next door! Don't waste your money at their breakfast.
