I finally went to Dominica 19 weeks after finding it on Yelp, and I am so glad I did. I went for a…read moreworking breakfast and I ended up staying for hours.
What a cute little cafe! The decor is very rustic chic, and there's lots of seating inside and outside. Everything about this place is amazing.
I ordered the paquete for only $110MXN, which came with a cafe americano, a juice or fruit cocktail, and a breakfast plate. They were unable to make the poblano omelette that day, so I settled for the chilaquiles verdes with an egg over easy. The coffee was enormous and piping hot. The chilaquiles were also delicious, but came in such a large portion I could only finish about half. After I finished eating, I was still sipping on my coffee while I worked. My waitress checked in on me occasionally, and took away my dishes and napkins as I used them. Finally, after finishing my coffee but not my homework, I ordered a hot chai tea latte, and it was beautiful and delicious, as well.
In total, I think I spent $200mxn, after ordering a second hot drink and a bottle of water and leaving a decent tip.
I definitely will be back and I will probably be making appearances at Dominica 19 as a regular.
