I have just been watching my church online at home, reluctant that I would find a 'good' church that would meet me expectations. Today was my 1st day getting out of the house to 'try' a new church. I pulled into my parking place and before I got out of the car I went to start to praying ... and God stopped me, literally hugged me and said "I got you". I KNEW I was in the right place, Today. I'm not saying "this is my church" yet ..but God DEFINITELY was with me The WHOLE TIME! He overwhelmed me with the Holy Spirit during a song I'd never heard before... highlighting the words 'I will not be afraid' And gave me so much peace and rest with the teachers for my 13 month old would be in new and unfamiliar place. They said she did great which I am so thankful. I am so thankful I visit this church and excited what God has in store my journey with and possibility it will be through this church. This is an exceptional church, in my opinion…read more First, I was impressed with the premises and the building itself, which were elegant and welcoming without being ostentatious. Also, the people were friendly and upbeat, and the service itself was enjoyable, polished, and intelligent. It's apparent that the staff has put great time and effort into this organization. Though, what I most admired about the UUC was the truth present there, which I sensed as much in the message as in the congregation and the church's general energy. By my reckoning, this place is inhabited by a spirit of real, earnest truth-seeking, and to a rare degree, as to be evident in its very atmosphere. I visited here while passing through, and I left deeply nourished, in a way that, in my experience, only results from an encounter with genuine love and benevolence.
