The service was very efficient and the prices very reasonable indeed. I had a very generous plate of noodles and chicken for under a fiver. The drinks are also very reasonably priced. I'm no connoisseur of Chinese food but I really enjoyed my meal. Highly recommended.

What I really liked was the crisp vegetables and the really good flavours but don't expect luxury, it is very basic but clean and modern. The service was fine but a bit detached and the coke I had was a little warm - the few cubes of ice melted rapidly! No one who I've gone with has ever had anything but praise for the noodles and so I would recommend Yaki - it is well worth a try if you are ever in Barking and easy to find, you can see it from the station entrance!

When I got to my hotel, I asked the man who checked me in for a recommendation of a good place to eat, so I responded to him with a question. I asked him if he were not working right now, and were out with his mates, where would he choose to eat? He looked at me with big eyes and asked really? I told him emphatically yes! He asked me if there was any food I didn't like, and I told him if I ever missed food, I didn't understand the question. So he told me to try this place, and asked if I was OK to go for a little walk. I was happy to. When I walked into this place I found it to be a corner neighborhood, fish and chip shop and it was very busy. To me this is a very good sign. I got there about 6:30, and I got desk clerk friend recommended, which was the fried sausage with chips and some curry sauce. I also added a cod fillet because I wanted to try the fish as well. The curry sauce and the sausage together were amazing! Oh, did I mention that the curry sauce was amazing?! Oh ya, I already told you how amazing the curry sauce was!! The fish was very good as well, the chips were spot on, and the curry sauce lifted everything on the plate to a new level for me. The curry sauce was nice and spicy and had a very full and rich flavor. As I sat and ate my meal, the place continued to bustle with people coming and going taking away food, and a few people sat down and ate as well. There are only a few tables in the place but they were all full the entire time I ate there and they must've served a dozen customers during the time that I ate. This place gets full marks for friendly service, smiling faces, EXCELLENT food, and all around great experience. Thank you for a wonderful meal. It is definitely a neighborhood staple and has a quaint ambience. A little out of the way for most casual eaters but if you want a delicious sausage, with curry sauce, look no further! Every time I see the lights on I can't resist walking in and ordering one of Jakes finest burgers, full of flavour and size! The blowout really is something you would find in the USA, and makes this place truly unique in an area which is otherwise inundated with chicken and chip shops.
