We were pleasantly surprised so much so that we came back here a second time. We sat outside both times as we so enjoyed the ambiance. However the inside of the restaurant is beautiful. It has kind of a shabby-chic feel with burlap strips over the lamps and rustic decor. Upon being seated they brought a basket with bread and butter. The menu includes some Spanish classic dishes but also some influences of Italian cuisine. They also have a substantial wine list. Although we spoke in mostly Spanish to them they offered if we wanted an English menu which was very helpful to us as we were not familiar with some of the names of food. The first time we came here we ordered the vegetarian paella and the fagglioti with pear and Gorgonzola with 3 cheese sauce. We were in food heaven with these two dishes. The paella came hot straight out of the oven in a cast iron skillet. The flavors were incredible and the vegetables all seemed to melt into each other and the cohesive flavor of the whole dish. It was bursting with the different colors of eggplant, red and green pepper, carrots, squash and onion. The texture of the dish was perfect and the portion was big. Although the pasta dish was smaller than the paella it was more rich so the portion was good. The pasta dishes came with the option of any sauce you wanted and the 3 cheese was a great choice for this dish. The sweetness of the pear compared with the strength of the Gorgonzola created a perfect balance. The second time we came here the food was still great but my friend and I agreed there was no way to beat the amazingness of the choices we made the first time. We ordered gnocchi with pesto and the rice with asparagus. Both were yummy and again the flavor profiles both fit the dish. The gnocchi were soft but not too starchy as it can sometimes be. The rice had a creamy sauce over it which elevated the overall dish. Both times the waiters were so nice. They joked around with us and were friendly. I really want to give this place 5 stars but for consistency I'm giving them 4 because the second time we came we had to wait almost twice as long for the food to be ready. This was the best food experience we had in Seville and was one of my favorite in Spain.
