Came here on a weekday, it wasn't too busy in the middle of the day. This library is pretty big with lots of different sections. I loved it all!! A section for kids, teens, spanish books, fiction, computers... even bright wifi area. The building itself seems a little old and dated, but there's so many resources available. I love how CV libraries are all linked. If this particular library doesnt have a book you are looking for, but another one does, you can have it sent to the library of your choice to pick up and check out. You can search for books online if you like. More people should take advantage of all that is available at libraries like this one!

Very spacious library! It is actually on of my favorite libraries that I attended because of how big and neatly arranged it is.

The Wi-Fi here is really s..l..o..w, but it's more spacious and available seating than La Mesa.

There is another room for teens which I assume may be YA books? There's a window in the kids area that looks into the teen room. Easy to get a library card if you have a photo ID and proof of address. Self checkout for books available and also pretty easy to use. There is a small used book store that also had puzzles and board games outside for sale. We happened to come in 30 minutes before story time for the little ones (ages 1-5) and it was a lot of fun. There were so many people in there! My son had a wonderful time, thank you Rosa!

My lil bookworm loves the variety of books. Weekly story time with friends is a plus. I met another frequent mom/visitor - she's been going to this library for years and told me they just renovated it. You can definitely tell once you walk in. There are restrooms and a community room for activities such as chess night. There are private quiet study rooms, a 3D printer, a kids section and more. The library is clean, very spacious and all the employees are extremely friendly.

The library is clean and spacious and sectioned off for children with an open play space, a closed off teen space surrounded by teen books and an adult section with tables and computers. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They helped my son find the his novel. I also appreciate the community wall that has flyers for all events and programs available locally for the community. Many of these programs are also free. The proximity to the park is a bonus! You can take your book and have a little picnic outdoors with little ones or for yourself.

It has a kid's section which my daughter loves. She gets excited going to the library to learn and read books. Plenty of room inside. There's even public restrooms and a red car in the middle for kids to sit in. I was greeted as I entered. Plenty of parking spaces in front of the library. I would definitely bring my daughter here when she wants to check out books. It's not crowded on a week day. There's even free books outside the door for you to take and read. I highly recommend this place if your in Imperial Beach. Located right across city hall, Sheriff's and fire department. There's also a park right next to the library.

And I definitely have been sleeping on it! From the min I walked in, the customer service from the staff was great! It was really easy to sign up for a card. Now if you plan to sign up for a card 》》Just make sure that you bring your ID and if your address on your Drivers license isnt the current address that you make sure to bring some proof of address like mail that goes to your current address in order to get the card!Otherwise, they won't be able to give you a library card that day. If unsure just call the library or please do your homework before. It helps the library staff and yourself. You also get to pick what kind of library card you would like. It's really easy to sign up for a computer. You can get an hour of usage when you sign up. You can print if needed and there are several options how to pay your prints. It's very clean. Parking is a little bit of a pain because it's a small parking lot.But you could definitely park on the street if you find parking. I would have to say that i'm not a fan of coming to a library very much but I will definitely keep coming back here. This is a Gem of a library.

The library has traded in its old-school look for a bigger, high-ceiling, modernized setup that's perfect for studying, reading, or pretending you're going to study while people watching. One thing that instantly brought back memories was thinking about those days when the San Diego Zoo would roll in with snakes, birds, and other critters to teach kids about wildlife. Back then, that was basically our version of a live-action nature documentary!! The library now has a spacious community meeting hall and plenty of room to spread out with a good book!! Between the upgrades and the flood of childhood memories, this visit was a fun lil trip down memory lane. Nostalgia level: checked out and renewed!!

I got from San Diego comic con back in 2022 an account was super easy and so was checking out this past which saved me at least $20. Don't sleep on libraries. You get a bunch of cool perks. Plus your taxes pay for it already anyway, so might as well take advantage.
