the treatment I've received after having surgery at this clinic is completely unforgivable…read more Everything seemed to go smoothly after surgery However my recovery was difficult as this was a revision and when i requested specific painkillers i was met with resistance and reluctance because according to one of his own on call doctors they are afraid to prescribe anything beyond generic over the counter painkillers like tylenol, ibuprofen and naproxen because they fear people are going to become addicted to stronger stuff. Excuse me? But this is an extremely invasive and painful procedure requiring real painkillers for people to bear the experience. Never mind the fact that eating is difficult after jaw surgery. now i must deal with the pain because your afraid i might become addicted when i am merely asking for potent pain killers during the infancy recovery stage of this procedure. Your supposed to be reluctant to give these meds after a significant amount of time has passed not the very beginning. For the first week of surgery i had to go three days without any pain killers all they did was prescribe anti inflammatories regardless of the fact my stomach could not tolerate them. The level of disrespect and lack of caring about a person's overall health is out of this world. I've received better healthcare from a plastic surgery chop shop in miami known for killing patients. I'm extremely disappointed because initially my doctor seemed to genuinely care about helping me yet once the surgery was done it was like playing phone tag between him and his assistance to help me. As frankly none of them seemed to give an F. One of the assistants even told me i needed to be patient after waiting two days without painkillers despite being 3 days post op with fresh wounds healing. I planned to sing my dr,'s praises after my surgery but the only thing i can say is this has been nothing short of a nightmare.

Teeth are weird. I'm one of those people who didn't have their wisdom teeth removed as a teenager…read more My dentist was concerned that one of my wisdom teeth was tilted too close to a molar and sent a referral to Crescent Oral Surgery. After calling their office a few times and receiving follow-up calls, I didn't have a good impression of their office organization. My dentist sent xrays and photos to their office, but everyone I talked to at Crescent Oral Surgery couldn't access the email. I had to explicitly tell them that I was copied on the email and can send it to them. Their staff sent an email to me that I used to respond back with the xrays and photos. I filled out their online patient form and later that day received a phone call from their office telling me that my dentist sent a referral and asked if I wanted to book an appointment, which was odd because I already booked an appointment. Crescent Oral Surgery is located on the second floor of Hillcrest Mall, so it was easy to find parking. I arrived early as they had asked, and waited about 10-15 minutes before being taken into the procedure room. One of their medical staff confirmed why I was there and measured my blood pressure and heart rate. I was seen by Dr. Mousavifar who was pleasant and had great bedside manner. I opted for local anesthesia and didn't feel a thing. The medical staff also explained what to do/not to do post-surgery and provided a printout. After the procedure, the office staff submitted a claim to my insurance on my behalf so that a portion of the cost would be reimbursed. Overall I thought it was a good experience, but you definitely have to drive the conversation when booking the appointment.

I nearly lost consciousness from pain. Also he broke the other tooth (wasn't part of the procedure) while he was removing crown and now my family doctor said I have to put implant in there so this visit will cost me more money. I'll avoid coming there ever again.

I'm a big baby in the dentist chair and he understands and respects that :D He gently cleans my teeth manually because my teeth were too sensitive for the ultrasonic cleaner. There's a big TV on the wall facing the chair and I watch my fav program while Dr Baik does his work and time seems to pass quickly. A regular check and clean takes about 35 mins. We have recommended many friends to NYS Dental and all of them are happy we did :)

Dr Baik and Kim, his assistant are simply amazing. Every time I go into the dentist office I always see Kim and she is so friendly and nice. I never have to wait as they are always on time. So now let me get to the good part. The best part of going to North York Square (NYS) Dental is simply because I have never met such an amazing dentist. Dr Baik takes the time to examine my teeth and does not try and rush though it. I never feel like I have been butchered like some other dentist offices where I feel like I was put though torture. So I would give Dr Baik 5 stars for just the cleaning. However, if I could give 10 out of 5 stars for real dental work (fillings ...) I would say Dr Baik is the best. I have went to a lot of different dentists and I have never had it where I walked in for a filling and walked out thinking did I just get a filling. He seems to have this special skill on how to freeze your mouth without you even knowing it unlike those horrible dentists who feel like they just jam that needle in your mouth. I am being 100% honest and if you really want to go to a dentist that you feel comfortable with and actually not want to feel any pain then I would recommend NYS Dental to everyone. Thank you so much and I am happy to give this review.

So you can imagine how I was dreading my visit to the oral surgeon. Thank goodness for Dr. Moncarz and the rest of the staff here. They were amazing. Friendly. Patient. Funny. Thorough. Dr. Moncarz himself was funny, friendly, and took the time to explain things to me in as much depth as I wanted. I was greatly reassured by the time I left my consultation appointment and arrived for my surgery feeling only minimally nervous. I was seen exactly on time for all of my appointments and everything seemed quite efficient while I was being seen. The staff were willing to work with me to book appointments around my crazy schedule. Dr Moncarz made sure I was armed with enough medications to deal with the pain I'd have after having four wisdom teeth (two impacted) removed under general anesthetic. He also reviewed the post-op instructions me with as well as providing a detailed handout that I could read again later. I even received a call from the office the day after my surgery checking in to see how things were going and address any questions. One star off because the clinic is a bit cluttered and the kind of dirty that happens when a place has been open for years and years. I have no concerns about safety (and I'm a nurse - I feel like I'm a pretty good judge of cleanliness and sterility), but the appearance of the place could have been more reassuring. That said, I was thrilled with the whole team and everything went as well as can be expected when you're having teeth yanked out of your head. I'd definitely recommend Dr. Moncarz should you ever be in need of similar services.

I had a simple check up & the Dr.told me I need to get a tooth(moler) removed(as I was having some discomfort there) I was told that I also had another piece of something attached to the root of my moler that needed to be pulled as well. I was treated with so much care from Dr Ebrahimi to all the Ladies(staff) who always had a smile & kind words to make me feel more comfortable I was put to sleep due to some health issues & before I knew it...it was all over. The procedure took about 1/2hr & I was home relaxing & recovering within an hr. I had pain for the first day (which the Dr.warned me about) & it seemed to slow down by the next few days. I had a post op" appointment the following week & Dr Ebrahimi said everything looks great the gums are healing well. I have to say that this dentist office is so wonderful. I have been to the Danforth dentist office to & they are all amazing there to. I can't stop saying such nice things about this place. Your in good hands when you come here. Thank you Dr Ebrahimi & all your staff for everything.

While removing one tooth, he destroyed two more adjacent teeth. When leaving his office, I was given the statement. Later on when I was back to my normal state of mind, I looked into the statement. The amount charged to my credit card was different from what I paid before the procedure. This second payment was charged without my authorization. The amount for bone regeneration increased from $820 to $ 1050. Also, the statement showed another "bone regeneration" the Dr. Yarmand claimed has been done, although there were no cuts, stitches or threads in that place of my mouth. To extract destroyed teeth and complete the project, I went to another surgeon. Unlike Dr. Yarmand, this other Doctor performed all procedures under local anesthesia as I requested. He did not request a one-thousand- dollar deposit before the procedure. Payments were taken only upon the completion of each procedure. For each procedure, he charged amounts the same as on the estimates. Every time, my credit card was charged in front of me. The price for each implant was 20% lower than with Mr. Yarmand. To follow-up on the second version of Dr. Yarmand response. 1. Dr. Yarmand declined my specific request for local anaesthesia in favour of IV ($680+$60). Regarding, "IV sedation comfort", the nurse tried to insert a needle into my vein 3 times. Then, she called for help another nurse who was able to get into my vein on her 2nd attempt. 2. According to the 1-st payment receipt, my credit card was charged at 9:18 a.m. in front of me before the procedure. According to the 2nd payment receipt, my credit card was charged 2nd time with different amount (to replace the 1st charge) at 12:16 p.m. without my knowledge while I was still in the operating area. According to the wall clock in the operating area, I left this area at 12:22 p.m.( 6 min after my card was charged). 3. When I asked Dr. Yarmand about my destroyed teeth he did not apologize, did not express regret about the damage he did to me. I was in shock. I couldn't discuss anything with him anymore. To replace destroyed teeth with implants, I paid $10K to another surgeon.

I really love Dr. Efim Fishman. I've been coming here basically all my life and coming to Arcadia…read moreDental for fillings, cleanings etc has always been a fun time. Efim tends to do the serious stuff like fillings and other more involved procedures and leaves the dental cleanings to his hygienists. Efim is gentle and is always doing his best to make you feel at ease. I remember coming here as a kid and not being afraid at all, Efim just has this wonderful air of making you feel at home and that everything is going to be okay. :) BUT, beware, some of the hygienists are actually barbarians and will funk up your mouth with their severely brusk "cleaning style." There have been many a time I have walked out of there holding my poor bleeding mouth and internally yelling WHHHHHYYYYYYY. But my mouth is truly a filth hole (I'm not much of a flosser heehee), so in actuality, I pretty much bring the painful cleanings on myself. And they only lightly lecture me on proper oral health. Aka, they don't always make me feel like I'm 10 and did something AWFUL. However, there is one hygienist there who has sweet little angels fingers and a sweet little angel face and when she does her cleanings it's like she's just caressing your lil' mouth with feathers and cherub hair. It's a beautiful and relaxing experience. Sometimes it even tickles! I'm pretty sure her name is Julia. I think she has beautiful blue eyes. I'm going to double check on that and get back to ya'll, because Julia deserves to be in some Dental Hygienist Hall of fame, she does amazing work.
