Shannon Miller is hands down one of the best massage therapists I have ever been to. Vacations should help restore mind and body and massage therapy is a ice way to round out a Hilton Head Island vacation. She is gifted and skilled. Her space is lovely, pristine clean, and calming. It is tucked away on Arrow Road. Her practice is now called Integrative Relaxation. On my first trip to the Bluffton, South Carolina area from my home in Ann Arbor, Michigan, I was healing from an open fracture and broken leg and ankle in the winter. I needed lymphatic drainage massage to reduce swelling and scar work to heal. I felt transported and it really aided my healing. My husband even said my eyes were brighter after. :-) Shannon talks to you beforehand and really listens for a more holistic experience. A few months after my first trip to the low country I could not wait to visit my in-laws again to find my way to Hilton Head for a restorative massage with Shannon Miller. This time I brought my husband. It was his best massage ever as well. Shannon did some ankle manipulation, lymphatic work, and Reiki. I can't say enough. She is a healer.

I am a chiropractor on Hilton Head Island. A female patient of mine, 35 years old, had suffered…read morefor years with constant, severe low back pain due to a malformation that caused her spine to be very straight - no curves in her neck or mid back but a very sharp curve at her low back (L5/S1). This put the L5 disc under extreme pressure. As a chiropractor, I had adjusted her several times. She felt better for a few days, then the same pain would return. Because she was not improving, I suggested that she see Jeannie Kelley for Structural Integration (Rolfiing). Chiropractors look at the body's structure from a skeletal perspective. Rolfers look at the body's structure from the perspective of tendons, ligaments and other connective tissue (fascia). I have found that getting Jeannie's opinion on difficult cases has been very helpful and vice versa. We often co-manage patients with excellent results. Jeannie took a thorough history from the patient and found that she had been a "head banger" as a baby, meaning she knocked her head against the crib as a means of comforting herself. I am not sure how, but from that piece of information, Jeannie guessed that the patient had restriction in the dura - the tough covering that surrounds the brain and spinal cord in which the cerebrospinal fluid circulates. After releasing the patients dura on her first visit, the patient reported to me that she had 0/10 pain and she has been pain free since. I was truly astounded and so glad that this young woman was able to get relief. Under ordinary circumstances, her only other option would have been to surgically fuse the L5/S1 joint. I sincerely doubt that surgery would have been successful in her case.

100% recommend Dr. Domanski and his staff. 5 stars all the way!…read more I am very used to Chiropractic care and have had at least 10 different Chiropractors (including my Uncle) adjust me over my lifetime throughout the country, depending on where I was living. Not all Chiropractors are of the same caliber, as you can imagine. After my first 2 visits, I can confidentially say, with my experience, that Dr. Domanski is someone you can trust your spine with. I will be putting my body back as a priority and getting regular care between the two cities I bounce between. My experience with Crossroads Chiropractic & Wellness: I was in immense pain, in my shoulder, starting 3 days ago that was limiting my daily activities and sleep. I toggled with the idea of finding a new Chiropractor in Savannah since I don't live here but visit monthly. I researched and found Dr. Domanski. I knew it would be worth a try if they were seeing new patients (they are and were SO helpful to get me in immediately, THANK YOU!). PROs: - Excellent adjustment by Dr. Domanski (which is not always easy on a very stiff patient). He also has a great way of explaining your diagnosis and what your x-rays say about what your spine is doing. (Which I needed since I haven't been getting regular care in over 3 years) - Friendly and knowledgeable staff - Efficient service and respectful of your time - Quick digital x-rays - Clean office - Plenty of therapy options to help you get the treatment you need. - Part of the Maximized Living family, which allows for further education to patients on your health & wellness (had this at a previous office in another city). - Convenient location CONs: None. I will update review as I continue care with Dr. Domanski. But all I can say, is give him a try if you have any concerns about your overall wellbeing. If you're reading this review and have never been to a Chiropractor, I honestly would say this is your place to get familiar with the process. It can be scary when you don't know what to expect but your body may have more of a story to tell than you realize and it's all natural healing that can make you feel so much better and be your best. FYI, I write reviews on places/people/food I believe in to try to help others as much as other reviews have helped me get to the best spot! You don't always have the advantage of word of mouth when you don't know others in the area. :)

They often would get you started on an exercise and then go work with someone else. Multi-tasking doesn't seem right when it's your health involved. And, surprisingly, results were mixed. If I got better it was because I did more than was asked. I often got impatient with therapists who wanted me to do the same exercises in front of them that I had been doing at home. No thanks. When I read that Cornerstone dedicated their scheduled time to you, I had to see. So post surgery, I went and met my therapist Andrew. Wow. What a concept-a dedicated therapist who took time to evaluate, plan, push and support. Incredibly knowledgeable and insightful. He knew I did my exercises every day and each visit was an addition and extension. He worked with me directly and didn't have me do bogus time killers like 10 minutes of spinning a wheel while he tended to other things. He gave me new things to do at home every visit. As a result, I made great progress. In fact, he even told me that after 5 visits he thought i had progressed enough to stop coming in! Even though I had medical authorization for more! He loaded me up with a home program and my recovery has been better than expected. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed. They aren't all created equal.

Visiting HHI and was gifted this massage from my sister (who is a Crossfit Instructor.) Her referral was spot on. Mike is also an Ironman athlete and I appreciated having someone in tune to my needs. The facility is very spacious, clean and relaxing. It was easy to find the building location which in HHI isn't always easy. (Just drive around the back of the building for easier access to the suite.) Once I got there Mike was ready with a warm welcome and a very limited amount of paperwork to complete. I loved the first question asking about how much talking you wanted - I indicated "very little" but I wound up being more talkative myself - but it's always nice to have the choice and he let me lead the conversation. The massage room was spacious and well decorated, again very relaxing. Mike asked the usual questions and tried to figure out my needs. The massage itself was perfect; it was obvious that he was well trained not only as an LMT but as an athlete and well versed in Kinesiology. I prefer a deep tissue massage and he didn't fail to deliver. I appreciated the his control of his strength (no trembling) - just solid smooth controlled pressure and stretching. Without instruction he worked on areas that, based upon my activities, would be most needed. I'd recommend him to anyone who was an athlete or was looking for more than just a relaxing massage. (Although I have no doubt that he could accommodate anyone's need.) After the session Mike greeted me at the door with water and followed up with checking to see how everything went. I would without a doubt go back to him the next time I'm in town and recommend him to anyone.
