After an hour and a half wait, the only person we had seen was the one getting the vitals and taking information. At about the one hour and 15 minute point, someone came in and said they had orders for x-rays. Finally at the hour and a half point, a physician's assistant came in and told us that they didn't have a foot surgeon. They would have to give us a referral to one of them. So we totally wasted just short of 2 1/2 hours with drive time there and back for absolutely nothing. There is NO excuse for the lack of communication nor the lack of common courtesy. We were supposed to see one of the female doctors, but after all their screw-ups, she didn't have the decency to even come in the room. I absolutely can't suggest strongly enough to ask your doctor for a referral somewhere else.

In addition, I had an initial visit (assessment session) Wednesday, the 9th. I left after the assessment without doing any exercises because the guy who completed my assessment was the most negative and unprofessional healthcare professional I have ever interacted with. The way he talked, my best option would be to have surgery instead of looking at other options. I left their offices and immediately scheduled an appointment with another PT company. I had my initial assessment today, the 11th, and their response and approach were different. They spoke of recovery and the steps I needed to take to minimize my pain. I was heard and allowed to provide input into my treatment. Their approach was different than what I experienced at BreakThrough.

The staff is very friendly and personable. I can tell there are a lot of "regulars" and they and they treat them like old friends. The procedure itself was kind of terrible but the doc did his best to be fast and efficient. I could have gone under if I insisted but it only lasted 5 min instead of an all day recovery. The bad: Despite scheduling the procedure 6 weeks out they didn't plan to give me details (time?!/ whether I needed a driver, etc) until the day prior. This makes planning for help difficult if you are single and have a working spouse. I called several times and while everyone was polite, I was often on hold for a while and was disconnected a few times Day of the appointment I arrived 15 min early and still waited an hour past my apt before I went to the back. 2 hour visit for 5 min procedure Overall I give them 4 stars. The staff and doctors who need to be excellent are just that. If the office experience wasn't so frustrating they would get 5 stars.
