This was a pleasant surprise. I've lived in Ohio most of my life, but had never heard of Sidney. We…read moredrove through during a trip, and stopped for a quaint lunch at 'The Spot', an old-fashioned diner with a small-town feel and great classic American food, and afterwards, walked around downtown and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Sidney is a small town of about 20,000 people, and it's surrounded by corn fields, but it has a surprising amount of standard midwestern comfort: Walmart, Chipotle, Applebees, a Chinese Buffet, etc, and bunch of smaller, non-chain type restaurants too. We walked around the courthouse downtown, which features 4 fountains and sitting areas from which you can enjoy the light traffic and passerby's, along with the beautiful architecture in the area. Apparently they have nice parks in the city in general, but we didn't get a chance to explore those. The only thing the city lacks is a Tesla Supercharger. Our kitchen and bathrooms are the rooms that need the most attention, and I can't wait to come home to see Bertie's magic. Our white kitchen sink and our showers stain easily from our water, and Bertie always manages to get them scrubbed away. She also pays attention to our family's life and knows certain times where my husband and I may have to work late on certain weeks. On those few occasions, she goes above and beyond and picks up/cleans our little kids' rooms and the playroom, something we never ask her to clean. The cat also enjoys her company. Just little details like cleaning up the cat's eating area make her and once, she text me to let me know the cat had gotten sick and she cleaned it up. Something she so did not have to do, but I appreciated it so much. Her work ethic and her thoughtfulness make her great in this business.
