    Groom & Groomsmen Suits

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This was hands down the worst and most stressful vendor…read moreexperience of my entire wedding. At the first appointment, everything seemed fine. He was confident, said we were "all set," and I left thinking this was one less thing to worry about. I couldn't have been more wrong. He told my husband he'd give him his tux "for free as a favor," even though his own website says the groom's suit is free after a certain number of purchases. Don't act like you're doing us a personal favor when it's literally your promo. We had 9 groomsmen and 4 fathers, and he offered to host 2 fitting parties -- but never followed through. Then he blamed me, saying my invite only listed 2 names. That invite was made before he offered the extra party & he said he would change it to a party. He also charged a 5% "credit card fee" that was never mentioned anywhere, plus $95 upfront for tailoring before anyone even tried on their suits. How can you charge tailoring before a fitting? When my stepdad went in, his suit was the wrong size, and instead of fixing it, the guy stopped mid-appointment to help another customer. No apology, no accountability. When I went with the first groomsman, he asked basic questions about the outfit like we hadn't already gone over everything weeks earlier. Then he tried to pressure that groomsman (who lives an hour away) into paying him for tailoring. The upselling was ridiculous. Prices changed mid-process -- suits were supposed to be $350 all-in, but suddenly ties were "extra" for $20 each for ties. Why wasn't it included? Communication was awful. I had to call multiple times just to find out if suits were ready. He never once called me. When I finally reached him, he said, "When are they coming in for tailoring?" I said, "We didn't even know they were in." How would we? He never called. Then he asked me to make a follow-up appointment when we already had one scheduled. My family members went to appointments where he wasn't even there. He was at his other shop and I had to be called to run interference. Not really what a bride wants to be doing leading up to her wedding. My father-in-law drove 20 minutes & found the store closed. My dad drove 2 hours and had to wait for him to show up. Same thing happened to multiple groomsmen. Completely unprofessional. A week before the wedding, my brother-in-law's suit came in BLUE for an all-black wedding. I called over 10 times during business hours -- no answer. The next day, he swapped it for black, but it was too tight. Luckily my husband stepped in and demanded a bigger size which he finally gave him. Several groomsmen said the same thing but didn't want to deal with him again. Then, 2 days before the wedding, he said my husband's tux would be ready by 2 PM. At 4 PM, still no call. I called him, and he casually said, "Oh yeah, it's in." No call, no update. So now we're stuck in rush hour 2 days before the wedding because he couldn't call us. He also suddenly said we had to buy "buttons" for the tuxes -- something never mentioned before. Then came more surprise charges: $150 for my husband's tux style and $95 for tailoring after telling us the tux was free. We brought him over a dozen customers, and he still nickel-and-dimed us days before the wedding. The tailoring prices were insane -- my wedding tailoring alone was $1,500, my mom's simple hem $300. Everything felt like a cash grab. What made it worse was the lack of initiative. I had to chase every update. He never reached out. He's extremely pushy, and unless you constantly follow up, things fall through the cracks. And those glowing reviews? He offers free socks for them -- that's the only reason his ratings are high. We went to him based on a family friend's recommendation, and I completely regret it. Between the hidden fees, bad communication, missed appointments, and constant excuses, this was the single most frustrating part of my wedding. Do yourself a favor -- go to Men's Wearhouse or literally anywhere else. At least they'll call you back, honor their pricing, and be where they say they'll be. This entire experience was unprofessional, exhausting, and infuriating from start to finish. Save your money, your time, and your sanity. There's even more too add that doesn't fit because of the character count

I got measured up and when I got up to the register I was shocked to see the price. It was double what Men's Warehouse charges (got married recently. I know how much they charge). I thought to myself, ok it's a small shop. I'm sure they make up for it with great customer service, something large corporations can't always do. Fast forward to August. I get a call late Wednesday night to come pick up my tux. I couldn't get there Thursday due to work, so I show up first thing Friday morning. I get handed my suit and get shuffled out the door. I request to try it on and that's where all the problems start. My jacket was like 4 sizes too small. The manager of the store begins his rant about how this is my fault because I didn't come in on Thursday. I tell him he needs to fix it and he said it won't be a problem because there's tons of material in the jacket. I took the rest of my crap suit and went home. I go back the morning of the wedding and "Moe" started looking for my jacket. I try it on and nothing was fixed. Moe confirmed my suspicions and told me it was my fault because I didn't come Thursday (again and again). I go through the wedding with a suit that was pilled and looked like it was dragged behind a pick up truck for a few miles. Of course I had to wear my tiny ass jacket that I couldn't button. I looked like Chris Farley wearing David Spade's jacket in Tommy Boy. Oh and on top of everything else, my shoes were two different sizes. Not shoe sizes, physical dimensions. One was about 3/4" too small. When I returned this sad excuse for a suit, I asked for a refund because services were not provided and I pretty much got told to go fuck myself. The manager walked out of the store right in the middle of a conversation. I spoke to the owner (I think?) and he said we would be getting an insulting amount of money back (which hasn't happened yet a week and half later) and they don't automatically give you back your deposit. How many people are they scamming for 40 bucks because they don't know better. Stay away and just go to Men's Warehouse. They have more resources and they give you a lot more time to make sure your suit or tux is right. These guys are just assholes. Plain and simple.

I have been a client for a little over 7 years now and cannot recommend them enough. Whether you need a cozy and casual outfit to formal wear they have you covered. Traveling for vacation, a wedding, or just for a fun weekend any outfit you need can be found here. Yes they can be a bit pricey but you cannot put a pricey on the advising they offer here as Alina and her staff go above and beyond for your needs and happiness. Throughout the years the staff here know how I prefer darker colors almost year round and make recommendations based on exactly what I like. Also if there is a specific style or look you want and it is not in the store they will gladly order it for you. I personally am a huge Lauren Moshi joggers and sweaters fan and they have made custom orders for me countless times. You can also follow them on Instagram and hold certain items in store that you want to try on and buy! They are located in Ridgewood and parking can be difficult at times but you will always find a spot. There is also their formal wear and special event store StudioSuite201 which is great for long gowns and bridesmaid dresses. I have never been disappointed or had a bad experience here. I always leave happy and with plenty of great outfits.
