This cute little place has quickly become a favorite in our household for Saturday morning brunch. Probably the best part is the adorable outside patio where our pup is welcome to join us for breakfast! :) Pretty typical menu items for breakfast & lunch however I cannot same much about their lunch as I've only been there for breakfast. The menu is customizable, my favorite is the benedict but swap the ham for bacon & it's never a problem or cost extra for the switch. Very good breakfast. Needed to get a meal before leaving Bend, but even on a weekday it was an hour wait at 9:45 am for all the places I know of in Bend. So looked in Redmond and found this gem. Lovely shady back garden with tables under the trees, plenty of parking. Lots of choices, lunch too. Only ok coffee (I've had better, and much worse, other places). Standouts: hash browns, hollandaise, pork cutlet, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit bowls. They offer GF and vegan options, though didn't try this trip. Went to Christie's this morning and had great service and great food ! Husband and I both had the specials: Mexican omelet and pumpkin/banana pancake. We were super excited to go here. Went in while my husband waited with our baby outdoors because they were super busy. I tried for about 10 mins to get on the list with no luck but the people who came in after me got on really easy. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else. The restaurant itself is very clean and well-kept, and the bathrooms are pristine. Let's move on to the functional things . . . The service was fine. We were seated quickly, and our server was attentive. However, there wasn't much warmth in the way we were spoken to or served. She was very proper and businesslike, but it was more like we were at a job interview than being served at a restaurant. Our group had chicken fried steak (waaaay overcooked with super-yummy gravy), pancakes (just like home), eggs benedict (solid choice) and a chicken sandwich (just okay). While the portions were large and the food very fresh, most everything lacked seasoning. Again . . . functional. Breakfast on Valentines Day! Perfect! Went there with my honey and we loved the place. I had the Denver omelet and she had the ham scramble. Lots of peppers, onions, and ham in my omelet. We both had the home-fried potatoes which were perfect - flavorful and not greasy in any way. The service was amazingly fast and very friendly. Decor is very pleasing. The menu is pretty extensive and it looks like a great place for lunch. This could be the best place in Redmond for breakfast. We will absolutely be going back. read more

Took the family around 9:30 on a Saturday and we got a seat right away. Took a little while to place order but once it was given food came very quickly. Food was good and the kids ate everything. Made our order, ten minutes later we see about 5 tables sit down. Every table got their food before us!!! Including a table of ten people that sat down 20 minutes after us!! We were there for an hour before we got our food!!! Only excuse is that they were busy inside???? What?!? Why would all the other people after get our food then? This place is not to be missed. I spotted in here for breakfast while waiting for my son to complete testing at Redmond fire station a free blocks away. The service is awesome my order vane fast and was piping hot. I tried the special sick was 1/2 chicken fried steak and 1/2 pork cutlet. Both were excellent. Seated very quickly and the coffee was homestyle perfect. Ordered a rare steak and eggs and a number one sausage link breakfast with some gravy and a biscuit. Everything came quickly and was perfect. I have always missed the old Country Nook and here in Redmond town and now you can come with large or small party's, have an ample amount of space and get everything you wanted. We came for breakfast, but someone across the space had ordered a club with potato salad... I saw it coming out of the window.... I think that's what I'll get next time. My reason for the 4 stars is 2 of us got the quiche and it was good but it was served to us cold, We had to ask to have it heated. Overall, we would come back . Now this was excellent customer service,drink order was within 30 seconds breakfast was served within 10 minutes it was absolutely fabulous food , the quiche had everything but the kitchen sink in it I think it was called the clubhouse quiche I wish I could take the rest of the pie home my husband had kielbasa with very tasty hashbrowns We had to bring a cinnamon roll home just in case we starved between now and lunch. Christies came recommended as a great breakfast place but we were disappointed it is typical roadhouse/truck stop food not creative, short on flavors but filling. My wife had the quiche and the crust was soggy but the fresh fruit was very good. I had the chili omelette which was large but the chili was Luke warm and void of flavor like it came out of a can, the hash browns must have frozen and again tasteless and the sourdough toast seemed old and covered in to much butter. Finally they serve Farmers Bros coffee, with all the good coffee available in Central Oregon why serve second rate. We had Mother's Day Brunch here after running the Smith Rock 10K. It was a pretty chaotic scene with some disgruntled customers ranting a bit about their wait, but we were seated within 20 minutes of the estimated time (they told us 15-20 but it was closer to 40). The waitress got my order wrong (ordered a benedict and got a quiche), but what I got was delicious. I think on a less busy day, this would be a great choice. read more
