As you drive into the lovely grounds of Christian Renewal Center, christian themed banners welcome you and you begin to feel peace come over your soul. I always feel I've entered a place of prayer. I can't say enough about this place. Jim and Julie Hansen lead the friendly and genuinely loving staff. The grounds are serene. They are well kept yet full of natural beauty. The rooms are clean. There has always been a welcoming gift with a scripture placed upon my pillow in my cabin. The food is served family style, is absolutely delicious, and there is yummy alternatives provided for gluten free and/or lactose intolerant diners. Coffee and tea are always on. Silver Creek Falls is close by and is a lovely hike, appropriate for any hiking level. My daughter loved taking photographs against the falls. Some of our ladies' group enjoyed zip-lining, some hiked, some went into town to poke around, some did crafts, and some people hung out in the cozy espresso cafe, or just took a well needed nap. There's enough to do but you never feel rushed- rushed. The main thing I leave CRC with is an encouraged heart and a deeper relationship with God. read more
