Dr. Tress clearly explained to me how to address the lower back strain holistically, showed the specific exercises to balance everything out and how exactly to do them correctly. So I came in to get rid of pain, and left with individual wellness program. I've followed the recommendations for just 3 weeks now (really diligently though) and my lower back strain is gone. Dr. Tress was highly recommended by a colleague, yet the woman, Mishka, who answers the phone refused to schedule me. She said that she was afraid they would not get paid since I saw another doctor under my No Fault Insurance. While they do accept my private insurance, they still refused to schedule me! I am extremely upset and saddened by this as I am really in need of a genuine holistic perspective. Too bad these practitioners prove just as greedy as the traditional doctors who are hell-bent on giving me surgery in the first place. I have seen several Network practitioners in the past and never been treated so insensitively! I am also pretty sure that I could get them in trouble for refusing to schedule me since they are in network with my private insurance company. I guess this office is just another example of marketing a trend of holistic therapy instead of a genuine interest in relieving suffering. Shame on you, Dr. Tress!!

Despite a recent blizzard and freezing temperatures, I took two forms of transportation to get to the MaxHealth Center office. When I arrived, I was told I did not have an appointment. I showed Dr. Fernandez the text messages confirming it. At that point, she said she didn't realize she had agreed to see someone who is not a "frequent" patient. I had previously used her services once before. During that visit, I found her sales tactics to be aggressive and she could not really adjust my back, but I decided to give her another chance. I explained that I travel often for work, which makes it difficult to come into the office regularly. Her demeanor immediately became hostile. She refused to provide an adjustment solely because I could not commit to frequent visits and told me to "see my way out." I was in real pain and pleaded for help, but I was treated with shocking cruelty and dismissal. Thankfully, I was able to find another chiropractic practice nearby that was professional, compassionate, and willing to help. I do not recommend this provider to anyone--especially if you value professionalism, empathy, or respectful treatment. Unless you can commit to frequent visits and tolerate being spoken to harshly, I would strongly advise going elsewhere.

I have had a fantastic experience with Dr Rief and all the staff at Max Health!…read more I first went to Max Health 4 years ago after experiencing terrible neck and back pain. Initially I selected Max Health because I only go to female doctors and I was planning to see the female chiropractor in the office. When I arrived, I was told I would be seen by Dr. Rief, a male chiropractor. I was understandably surprised but agreed to speak with him. He let me know that his female colleague had an accident earlier that week and broke her arm so she would not be able to treat me. I explained my hesitations to him about working with a male chiropractor and he reassured me of his professionalism and dedication to providing good care. He made me feel safe and comfortable and so I decided to go forward. I saw Dr. Rief 1-2 times per week for several months and he helped me immensely. Fast forward to This year- I had a terrible fall in July, tore my hamstring and hurt my neck and back. I had the worst headache of my life and after visiting several medical doctors I turned to Dr. Rief and the staff at Max Health Center. Unfortunately they don't take my insurance but I pay out of pocket because it's totally worth it! What a game changer! When I first started seeing Dr. Rief in September I could not sit up or stand without experiencing immediate, excruciating, debilitating head and neck pain. I had laid in my bed for a month straight at that point it was so bad. He listened carefully to my situation and then he and the massage therapist worked on me for 90 minutes! (Game changer!) I have been going twice a week for more than a month and the difference is night and day. I am getting my life back!! Dr. Rief and all of the staff at this office care deeply for their patients and their wellness. I have never had to wait for an appointment. I have never once had to wait in the waiting room. I show up on time- they see me on time. The massage therapists are fantastic- in their care and their spirit. The staff are professional and all are a pleasure to deal with. They don't even complain when I ask for a note for my job after every appointment! Dr. Rief has changed my life twice and I am so grateful. I cannot recommend this practice enough! Go there!

Not only is he a genius when it comes to my back and neck issues, but I also call him my sinus infection guru because of his ability to relieve sinus inflammation and pressure.
