The flavourful whole wheat bread, "pain omega 3", comes in a north-american style loaf and so is perfect for sandwiches. The "pain Grec" is a large, chewy bun full of olives and olive oil --a fabulous addition to "l'heure d'apéro." I enjoy many of the pastries as well, especially the "tarte au poire." This was once my neighbourhood bakery, and now that I live across town I still go there often for the breads and butter croissants.

We had coffee and tried some sweet and savories little bites, bought a Forêt Noire ( Black Forest cake ) and a fruit tart. And I saw they have palmiers!!! So I bought 4 to share as snacks for the grandkids! Yum yum, they are absolutely my favorite! Fresh fruits, fresh vegetables outside, and inside there are too many stores to list that sell breads, cakes, cheeses ( I have never seen so much cheese in my life!!), meats of all kinds, beef, pork, lamb, fish, ..... and cooked food!!! We have lived…read morein Toulouse for 5 months and have visited many patisseries and boulangeries but their croissants are incredible. The staff is kind and friendly (even though our french is poor) and always greet us with a smile. Do not miss their special baguette ble dur...it's really, really good. Our only problem with La Boulangerie Saint-George is that it's too close to our home and the temptation is too great!
