I love everything about this church from the welcoming feeling to the music to the sermons !

Stopped at the church yesterday with some questions and was grateful for the respect and kindness showed to me. Thank you.

A lifelong THUMBS down, Greed over God My mother Rebecca DeFazio attended this church from 1982 - 2016. I myself went to preschool, and was Baptized at this church. Rebecca DeFazio served as the librarian at this church, she also led adult bible classes, and served as a deacon. Becky passed away May 25 2016 and I spoke to Irlene the (church secretary) this morning May 26th 2016 about having a memorial for her at the church as per her wishes. Irlene not only quoted me pricing ABOVE standard pricing but also stated neither minister would be available to speak on Monday June sixth for the memorial. I stated to Irlene that Becky had been a lifetime member of the church and that I felt pricing and charging for a memorial was not a Christian thing to do being she had devoted her like to the First baptist Church. Irlene stated flatly, that recently members which served much longer the Rebecca had died and had memorials at the church recently which they gladly paid well over $1000 each. We grew up dirt poor and I as a child of 9 years old remember swallowing AIR at night in order to fill my stomach so I could fall asleep with a full stomach. We were that poor and yet for nearly 40 years she tithed each and every week. The secretary then stated she could not verify my mother tithed at all..... She then asked why we could not simply use the life insurance. (She had under $2500 in insurance which would not cover the service at the funeral home it self. For those who knew Becky you know she loved this church, even after the endless parade of preachers and affairs that went on there. There is GREED at the Christ Community Church, I doubt one will find god there though. Peter Defazio SHAME ON YOU and I hope everyone will share this. read more
