She seems to genuinely love her fury customers and I can say that my Otis loves her! He didn't want to leave! Katrina is a talented top notch professional, the shop is clean, staff is friendly, and they do a great job. I worried about finding a place where I could trust that I was leaving my dog with people who cared. This is the place. I highly recommend A Hair of the Dog.

The older of our two dogs suddenly passed away and our younger dog has been taking it harder than we have (which is pretty hard). The staff has been very concerned, and when we took our dog back in to see how she would do without her sister, everyone was good with her and very helpful and she did just fine! Also, my husband had an unplanned hospital procedure and we needed to book our dog in overnight without notice, and Metro Pooch accommodated us. I don't know what we would have done had they not folded us in. We have only had really good experiences here and recommend the daycare and boarding facilities!

He is a frail dog nearing the end and we didn't want his last days to be uncomfortable. Kristen patiently dematted and groomed my dog by hand in such a gentle caring manner. She went above and beyond to care and treat my dog with respect and love. I am incredibly thankful and appreciate. The metro pooch is a clean and significantly more peaceful and quieter environment than other grooming and boarding facitilies in the area. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Metro Pooch to others.

I was quoted a price and it was $80 more than quoted and he did not trim tail or feathers on legs as I requested and I was very thorough telling him what I wanted and quoted. I don't think a proper groom should take less than 45 minutes? I had to finish what he neglected to do! He deshedded instead of what I was quoted, he did not need deshedding and it ruined his top coat. I have owned Golden Retriever's for over 50 years. Worst groom ever! I can do it better myself. Would not recommend ? He definitely was not professionally trained in Grooming?

The town of guilford is the next town over from me and I travel back and forth to work and always pass this petco, so it's hard not to go in once a week. The employees are very helpful, and will do whatever they can to get you the item that you need, which includes calling other stores if they don't have the item in stock. This shows that they go out of their way for their customers which is amazing customer service. They always have a wide variety of different items and my favorite is buying "whimzee" chew toys for my little girl hamster. She loves them, so I get joy buying them for her. This store is very neat and also includes dog grooming and training. The facility itself is beautiful and the plaza is a nice variety of stores. I recommend this petco to anyone!!

I asked for a, "Scottie cut" which leaves the dog with the majority of her fur length and a lovely little skirt effect on her body. Christina SHAVED ALL OF MY DOG'S FUR OFF!!!! I assume it was because it was easier for her than actually taking the time to do a professional grooming and comb her fur out. I was completely devastated. When I attempted to speak to her about how upset I was, she denied that she'd shaved the dog's fur off ?????? and then became defensive and rude. She had no problems collecting and keeping the $60 fee. Professionalism was sorely lacking as was initiative. I WOULD NEVER BRING AN ANIMAL TO THIS PLACE!
