Hello Chocolate Heaven. My name is Dara and it's a pleasure to meet you. I am so happy I don't live nearby because I would go broke buying every single thing on the menu. As it is, I settled on a mochaccino with whipped cream instead of foam at the recommendation of a staff member. The "choc and coffee" is cold so I went for the warmth of their mocha. I shared two orders of perfectly fried delicious churros (8) with the cuatro sentido- which included four shots of different chocolates including white chocolate, standard, dark choc and cold choc- with my cousins. The dark chocolate and standard drinking chocolates were my favorite for dipping the churros in. My cousin had the cold chocolate and says it is better to drink then to dip with a churro. The white Chocolate was subtle and delightful. I loved my mocha and discovered the joy of dipping the churro into the drink, thanks again to the kind and enthusiastic employee who tolerated my ignorance about dipping churros in coffee as only an older sister would. It is a great shop with quality chocolate produced by a company in operation since 1881. They have bathrooms available towards the back of the shop, and free internet. After 20 something days of walking on the Camino, I found this place next to our hotel, Albany! Then I asked if they could vegetaranize the sandwiches by leaving out the turkey breast meat, and I was in heaven! This has become my favourite place in entire Leon! I went here three times a day for the the 2 days I spent in Leon! And I love this place, because not only is the lady behind the counter who runs this place like a boss, a real kind and caring person, but she is very efficient too and notices customers like me who can't speak Spanish and can't seem to get the waiter's attention as we were not loud enough or fast enough or bold enough. either way, I can't rave enough about what a wonderful find this was! read more
