This place is a small jewel. Cozy little café with the focus of heavenly good chocolate your choice of a hot drink, pralines or cakes. You might miss it because it's tucked away in a side street but it's right next to Viktualienmarkt. Chocolate does make happy, no matter what others say. And good chocolate makes even happier. The amazing staff will select the exact right pieces if you don't know what to choose and if you forget about your diet plans for a little bit you will have a fantastic time. Especially love the flavored hot chocolates. Yes to the Baileys and Amaretto flavor hot chocolates. Comes in a wooden spoon you give it to the person in the counter they bring it out with steaming hot milk and you stir it until it's melted. Still dreaming about it now.

Latte with white chocolate ice cream

Why 5 stars? Because this ended up being the best chocolate we found in Europe. --- --- --- We visited 7 cities in two weeks and brought back some chocolate from a few places, but this was our favorite. I had no idea at the time we visited, that this would end up being the best, but it definitely was - even over chocolate from Brussels! Aside from chocolate to take back home, I was eyeing the white chocolate ice cream and also wanted a coffee... and much to my delight, they had an item on the menu that was a latte with white chocolate. Score! It ended up being tasty but not quite as epic as I had hoped when I saw it on the menu. We spent more than 50 Euros in here on that and the chocolate to take home, but it ended up definitely being worth it!

Caramel and hazelnut truffle, sea salt caramel bar

I found this place last night and since then have already been back. I got some of the chocolate truffle balls, the brownie and a sea salt caramel chocolate bar and they've definitely all been eaten by my boyfriend and I (mostly me, oops!) The chocolate from here is insanely good, I highly recommend the caramel truffle ball, SO good. We are leaving Munich tomorrow to head to Italy and my top item on my list is to come back here and get some chocolate to bring for our travels.

If you find yourself in Munich's Victualien Market, you might find a bit of time for a hot chocolate and some pralines. This teeny shop has 30 types of hot choc and it is yummy and fun. The way it works is that you choose a chocolate flavor cube and order a hot foamy milk. The choco cubes are on a wooden spoon, and you submerse the spoon into your milk and stir. See the photos!

This chocolatier near the open air biergartens and farmer's market stalls of the Viktualienmarkt is fantastically charming. The staff is wonderfully friendly and the selection of chocolate products is varied and high quality (as I can attest, since I've eaten much of the product we bought there since our visit). They also have some of more daring flavors in their chocolate sauces, combining the cocoa with unusual and savory ingredients. Their hot chocolate is tasty. We tried some on-site, as they have a small seating area to enjoy sipping chocolate, as well as have had some since. Basically, they sell a block of sipping chocolate in a cube with a "stick" that's actually the spoon embedded in block, and which will be released like the sword-in-the-stone when the treat melts in the steamed milk. Great! It is my favorite chocolatier we tried in München.

Cold coffee with an extra shot

After a whole day of walking around the Old City of Munich I was exhausted and desperately in need of a coffee. Unfortunately by 6pm all the hops, markets & coffee places had closed and the only thing that seemed to be open was the beer gardens. But beer is not a substitute when the caffeine craving hits, so I was hoping to at least get some chocolate milkshake in me. However when we reached here I was able to get a cold coffee with an extra shot and it was the perfect pick-me-up that I needed at that point of time. We also had the chocolate bomb - like a molten lava cake which was very good and tried the walnut ice cream which was amazing, the White chocolate ice cream wasn't as good as the walnut. The staff were super sweet & helpful. They speak English fluently, which was a huge advantage to this non-German. They had lots of yummy looking chocolates that would make great gifts, including little chocolate hedgehogs which were absolutely adorable. Since we were planning another couple of hours of walking around, we didn't want to carry anything that would get smashed in our bags, so sadly we could only try what we were willing to consume at that point. Heavily recommended for a lovely break when you are near this market and not yet ready for beer.

I love this shop. It's got chocolate in a variety of shapes and forms. What's not to love about that ?? The chilli chocolate is divine and the Ivoire mit Pistachio, Caramel Salt and Hazlenut chocolate pralines were delicious. Will defenitely be back here and the standards of the chocolate are up there with some of the Belgian chocolate I have had in Brussels :-)) One piece of advise to the staff....there is no harm in smiling when serving customers. They might actually buy more ;-))

This cute chocolate store in Munich serves amazing hot chocolate, cakes, and coffees. I ordered the hot chocolate and it's served with a steaming hot cup of milk and you can select the type of chocolate you can stir in as an add on. I was worried how it would blend together because milk isn't the right temperature you won't be able to mix in the chocolate. I ordered the chocolate hazelnut and it did take awhile for the chocolate to melt and combine into the milk so you she to keep stirring for awhile and it seemed like a lot of work but it was worth it! When I took my first sip it was so rich and delicious and when I shared it with my husband we were both like this is how hot chocolate is supposed to taste! We also got chocolate cake which was rich and creamy with the perfect blend of dark chocolate and it had just the right amount of sweetness! Their chocolates are smooth and rich without being too sweet.

The best white hot chocolate I have ever tried.

Beluga is very tiny but the customers rotate very quickly. A lot of different chocolate items and a huge variety of different "chocolate cubes" that you can make into hot chocolate. Me and my friend had white chocolate and hazelnut/nougat chocolate. They were vey delicious and worth the price (4.80€)! Service was quick and very friendly and the staff spoke good English.

This is my favorite chocolate shop in Munich. All homemade. Great for one and also for gifts. Chocolate drinks to candy...for here and Togo.
