HCC-Vineyard has been my church home since January of 2011. The people here are absolutely amazing…read more They live out what it means to love people, and are always welcoming. The church has a very strong community mindset which ties into their theology. They believe that the church is a body of Christ followers, not a building, and their actions reflect that. They don't even call the building they meet in HCC-Vineyard, but rather say that HCC-Vineyard meets there in spite of paying to keep the building open. To reduce waste, they also host a non-profit community coffee house called Avenue L, which they have adopted as the name they use to refer to the building. Avenue L is only loosely related to the church, and they try to keep the two separate so that Avenue L can be a secular (non-church run) space. For me, it has been the most theologically sound church I've found in Huntsville in terms of actually living out what they say that they believe. It has been an instrument in drastically changing my life for the better, and I absolutely love it. But don't let me persuade you! If you are looking for a church, pray about it, and if you feel lead, come see us Sunday at 10:30am. Dress is casual, as is the service, so don't be afraid to come late or in jeans. We don't care who you are, or where you've been, or what you look like, but we do care where you are headed.
